American Title Corporation

Hi, I am scheduled to do my first signing this week with American Title Corporation. I was in a hurry and agreed to do the signing without agreeing on the closing fee. I got the e-mail and the closing representative said we agreed on $50. I thought it was standard industry policy not to accept below $60. Since it is my first signing I am not sure if I should accept it this time or dispute it. Also I tried to look up the company's track record on this website and could not find them listed. Has anyone heard of them and are they okay?

You can call them back and cancel, they do it if they find somebody for less.

I have done several for this company. I enjoy working for them alot. The $50 signing fee is too low. I would call them back and negotiate a higher fee with the explanation that the fee was not discussed at initial call. Be sure to ask if it is an e-doc and charge appropriately.

All in all, be professional and know who you are. If you respect yourself, others will respect you also. Set your fee and stick to it.

I pray our signing goes well!

As far as I am concerned, the going rate, minimum for overnight docs, is $75.00. If you did not agree to the fee (you're certain), then this is a company to avoid. If you feel the scheduler lied to you from the beginning, what do you think will happen in the end? My advice, stay away!
