Citibank, NASCO, Fidelity

Have you been getting Citibank signings from Fidelity instead of NASCO? I called Banc Serv to try to get a better fee like NASCO paid, but was told that they could not use Notaries who charged more than $50.00.
By the way, I have been a certified signing agent for 3 years, and live in a small rural area, where most notaries work for $50.00. I try to get more, but if I want to work usually have to do it for $50.00. I am envious of those of you who can get more money, but the Notaries in my area won't help me change things.

J, Where are you located? I'm in northern CA & also a very rural area. I sometimes get calls from $50 ss's but most of the time can negotiate more...

I'm in Lake County, on average how many signings do you do per month? I get about 25 and thats down from last year this time...

I don't usually count the signings, just the money I make. I just counted May's, which was my best month ever, and I did 60. This month, it's looking like I'll be lucky if I do half that many!
I wish more folks would answer my Citibank question.

Perhaps someone will later, maybe no one on the board has an answer yet, keep checking back.

about why you called Banc Serve when you said you were getting the CitiBank Loans from Fidelity? Please explain if possible. Thank you!

Sorry, I was not clear. Maybe that is why no one knows what I'm talking about. Banc Serv is the SS that hires me, and Fideity is the title company instead of NASCO. So it was Banc Serv that supposedly got the Citibank contract, but was told only to hire SA's who would work for no more than $50.00.

I did hear that NASCO may have lost their contract with Citibank because of all the problems they were having a few months ago.

Exactly! Now I wonder if other Notaries will have the same experience that I had.

I work directly with NASCO on HELOCS. I did receive 3 calls the first week of June but was unable to do them because of travel plans. Haven't had any since, except from one SS to do a NASCO clip loan.

I was gone 1st week of June too, and lost about 3 myself. I too have a clip today, but that is all. The Notaries that NASCO called while I was gone were not appreciated at all. Both Broker offices did not like the replacements!

I am still getting calls from NASCO for Citibank signings. They are calling for assignments through next week already. Maybe there just isn't in your area right now.
