Concerned about dates

I am new to the game. I was given a signing 6/16/05 late in the evening, but there was a terrible storm (the night the blimp came down in Florida) I called the notary biz and they said it was o.k. for me to do signing first thing in the morning, I had forgotten about the date change on the doc's, the borrowers signed the doc's 6/17/05. Anyway I understand that it was my fault and should have requested a new set of doc's they are not paying me for that, I learnt from my mistake. But I did another signing which was very similar and asked them to resend the doc's with correct date and the title company said it was not necessary and to leave the doc's as is just change date on the right to cancel, is that ok. Please give me a correct answere here. Thanks

Many time the docs are good for several days and as long as you get an O.K. to sign the next day from the company that hired you it is O.K. to use the documents. All you need is to make sure the right to cancel is dated correctly. Most Sigining companies/Title Companies want the borrower to initial the change on the RTC.

In addition - Your notary certificates must have the actual date that you are notarizing the document(s).

I know - I had two different calls today asking me if I would be so kind as to use 06/26 for the date. I told them - you can date the docs however you please, but my notary certificates will be dated as of the notarization.
They didn't call me back - I wonder why... Smiley
