Did my first puchase

other than my own yesterday afternoon. Actually, it was for a first and second purchase -- which were smaller than many of the single refis I've encountered.

I was really impressed with the borrower. She was a young lady in her early 30's and is literally beginning a new life and new venture/adventure. Earlier this year she was attending a wedding in anoter state when she saw a For Sale sign. She made an offer and it was accepted. She is in the middle of packing up and leaving Friday and will begin a new job on Tuesday.

The signing took two hours because she read every single word of every single document -- which I would have been upset had she not. I waited patiently while she read and sometimes re-read each page. She is only four years older than my son, and I honestly don't think my son has as good a head on his shoulders. I can only hope that when my son decides to make such an important and probably the most important decision in his life, that someone is as understanding and patient as I was with this young lady.

Congrats, Carolyn. We do tend to be motherly in our jobs, don't we! What location did this take place in?

Re: Did my first purchase

Brenda,
Signing was at her house, on a make-shift table, i.e., cardboard packing box! She kept saying how sorry she was because the house was a mess, with packing and all -- to tell you the truth, even with all the disarray of packing, this house was cleaner than many of the houses where I've done refis.

Good for You! I did a signing Saturday on a coffee table. I think I'm going to listen to PAW's advice and get me a laptop desk thingy.

Re: Did my first purchase

It wasn't so much the make-shift packing box table as it was having to sit cross-legged on the floor. No, I guess actually it was the getting up from sitting cross-legged on the floor!
