Dry Spells
Have any of you experienced a time when the phone just didn't ring for a week? I would like to think it is due to the fact that my area is very rural and not much business, but I'm beginning to question this opinion. Past two months were great! One can easily become paranoid in this business.

I'm right there with you Janet! It is slow for me this week. I have been doing great for months, even last week. I am going out of town to pick up my son at College, so I am kinda glad! It will pick up, don't worry, hang in there!

Monthly: first 7 days after last day to sign.
July and August -rural areas with heavy winters only.
Mid December through late January, depending on what lenders are offering which specials.
Plan your vacation for deep winter.
For those who don't think Melody can post a useful but not funny message, here you are.

Try a dry "month" last month, no calls all month

Re: April and May have
had great month in May and not so bad april. Last week went to the NNA convention and my phone rang several times but had to turn away business. This week im back and it is quiet. I had one monday and one for tonight and missed a call while in the shower (figures).
Hope it picks up, I have been calling companies I havent heard from in awhile and those Im signed up with but never send business. Desperate times mean desperate measures.
I am also a Bankruptcy processor through ANNIEMAE.org and have sent over flyers just getting responses so maybe I cna get that started soon.

Joe stated: "... missed a call while in the shower (figures)."
The way I see it, Joe, you have two options:
(1) Install a phone in your shower
(2) Don't take a shower

Re: April and May have
It is slow here too. May was my best month ever. Naturally, while at the convention, I had to turn down a bunch. Now that I am back it is slow. I guess I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who goes thru this. However, while I was gone, NASCO assigned the ones I could not do to some other newer Notaries, and now I'm worried that I will get less calls from them. Any ideas on what to do about this. I haved contacted some of the schedulers and Barb Orbin, but the phone is not ringing much...

Joe, how did you get hooked up with AnnieMae? Do you like it? I have a good amount of Bankruptcy experience.
And when you say flyers, I think of flyers on windsheilds - or do you mean a marketing pack that you have mailed?

Re: April and May have
The site has changed its name to www.amcooperative.com. This site is where I enter my signings and track them right through the invoicing. There is a $19.00/month fee to join. Also has a bankruptcy side.
