Email no doc
If a company asks for a quote for an "email, no doc", what does that exactly mean? Does it mean only 1 set is printed and the borrower does not get a set of docs?
Thank you, Toni

Re: Email no doc - where are all the oldies?
In my 5 years I have not come across that particular wording. It is probably *shorthand* for something very familiar. Where are all the oldies? One of them surely knows the answer!

In my 10 years, I hadn't heard of that either.

Email "no" doc
I've heard of Email, "low" doc = less than 50 pages. NSA prints lender's and borrowers' sets.

Toni (NY) asks:
***If a company asks for a quote for an "email, no doc", what does that exactly mean? Does it mean only 1 set is printed and the borrower does not get a set of docs?***
There used to be a company out of San Francisco called the Cy Ning Agency, owned by a Vietnamese gentleman named, I think, Phar Ked Tong. CNA was rather small, and seldom had need for more than two or three agents in its database.
One agent that Cy Ning used often was an American-born signing agent of Chinese extraction who was named after his father. Before becoming a signing agent, Emil Liu had worked as a longshoreman. Thus, Tong always gave Liu those refis that were going to be signed during the lunch hour by workers at the San Francisco port.
Tong was notorious for being anal. Every assignment, he would meticulously go over every detail, including the address. Emil, who was well acquainted with the seaport, had no patience for this. The stories are legend in California signing agent circles about the head-butting between Tong and Liu. Such conferences always ended up with Liu stalking out, waving his arms and shouting at the top of his lungs, “Emil know docks! Emil know docks!”
Thus, “Emil know docks” has become a catchword meaning that you should have no trouble finding the address.
Hope this helps.

That means "Can you repeat that please? I've never heard that term." The only thing I can think of and it doesn't make sense either is an electronic signing.

I've heard of a "no doc" loan, but never "email no doc".
