Fees, Fees, Fees
I read a good deal of posts on this board about ss fees and tc fees. From my reading, I can see that the average ss fee is probably around $65-$70, but that some want to pay as low as $40. I am trying to figure out what the average tc fee is, since I don't do work for any title companies and I am not familiar with their pay scales. Would anyone mind sharing what an average tc pays? Also, is it exactly the same job as the tc gives us, or is there more to do with a tc?
Thanks so much for the input!

Unfortunately some SS try to low ball for $40.00 and I won't take these jobs! You should be averaging $65 and $85 to $100 for email docs. Title companies usually pay $135 up to $200. Most title companies don't use a SS so the middle man is cut out and you get more money.

I haven't done a lot with title co., do you usually try to get $200 and see if they take it, or play it safe somewhere in the middle?

Never work for under $50.00, even fifty is pretty low.

I'd go next door for $50.

I had the same question when I started to work with Title Companies. I found that most of the time I could just ask them... and what is your standard fee for that? and MOST of the time it was just fine for me. Between $125 and $200. (From $150 - $200 was 30-60 miles away). Recently I have found that 'new to me' Title Companies have been calling and trying to low ball for $75 w/Edoc. I used to just say Nope and would pass on the job but recently I've started letting them know 'sweetly' what I think of the fee they offered and that I would do a fantastic job for them and the borrowers but my fee is $XXX. 50% of the time I have gotten the job.
