I did a closing this afternoon (LA) only to have Mr. Borrower make passes at me while Mrs. Borrower got up to answer the phone. He just continuously flirted and offered to meet me later!! He was about 60 years old.

That is why I always make sure I am dressed appropriately, no cleavage or tight clothes. Some of these men are a trip.

I'm always impressed by the guy who speaks English, but his family does not and he likes to chat it up with the notary while his wife smiles sweetly beside him. He uses a business tone to ask personal questions of the notary...he talks to the wife in their native language in an affectionate tone to explain what he's doing...it's very amusing.

So you're saying the problem is that him being 60 is kind of old for you, is that it? KIDDING! But seriously folks, I have had Gay men hit on me at closings and that's not my orientation so it was kind of awkward. [I wasn't showing any cleavage, either.]

People are people and you just have to ignore it [unless, for you ladies, the borrower is Brad Pitt, then you play Angelina.]

I personally use the joking approach on the old men.... something like "Look at you thinkin' you're Cassanova... just sign this before I miss my next appointment and lose my job." Big smile.

I get hit on quite a bit... whether it is suits or slacks... my appearance is kind of like my personality... a little over the top. (Long blond hair... big b**bs...big smile). I had to learn very quickly to almost ignore the husband and talk directly to the wife. That works to put the wife at ease and in my experience... the wife is the one that controls the situations.

mmmm hmmm. and this coming from the woman who read my board alias as CAtitlegal...or CA tit legal. NOW I get it... That's it. I'm scheduling with dr. 90210, and changing my name back (then I won't sit home on Saturday afternoons reading NotRot....I'll be out signing!)

Dr. 90210 was no help to me yesterday. I was at home all day Saturday waiting for Docs for several appointments ... browsing the notary board... frustrated that I didn't know better about these EOM assignments and just cut my losses and go to the BBQ. My family was off sippin margaritas while I was sittin around, checking Email, cleaning my office, shredding, posting, cleaning... Oh yeah it was a SUPER day!!! I want alot more of these this year. I did finally meet up with them at the Casino for a couple hours and ended up making $130 at the Blackjack table... so it was an OK ending.

Today I've been browsing for info on a new printer and now I'm off to buy one. I am actually really excited about it... go figure... I love office supplies!!!
