Is anyone else...

getting tired of seeing Negretes advertising for more notaries knowing that they aren't utilizing the ones they have already signed on?

Re: Is anyone else...

Speak for yourself.

I am always more than happy to take assignments from Tony and the ladies. He always pays in a very timely manner and let's the notary handle their own end of the assignment, with no fax backs. I find it a pleasure to work for him.

If you are not being utilized maybe you should give a call and ask why not. BK/FL

Re: Is anyone else...

I am.

While it's certainly not spam in the traditional sense, to me it's definitely treading that thin line of advertising on the board. There's an entire database full of notaries on this site, there's really no reason for the constant advertising, especially when I'd wager he already has hundreds of Florida notaries in his own database.

Anonymous loads up and fires the following gripeshot:

Well, I'm not. What I'm tired of is anonymous posters who don't have the courage of their criticism. Tony is not advertising existing business; he is informing us of a new opportunity. I'll accept that from anybody; fundamentally, that's what this board is about, making a living for the participants herein. Especially, though, will I accept it from anybody or any business who has the proven track record that Negrete's has of fair pay and fair treatment. I hope he keeps doing what he's been doing.

I don't hide and do give a service time to pay...

however, I would now like to post for all to read my personal experience with Negretes.
I was happy to accept an assignment on 2/19 and was told they would meet my fee. I accepted three more for 3/9, 3/16 and 3/18. *Just a note - the staff at NNS is great to work with and i have enjoyed each experience I have had with them.

I called and email 4/11 asking about payment. I asked if there was something I was doing wrong or if they needed a w9, etc. I asked why I was not getting paid in two weeks as many have posted on this board and on NotRot.

I received a check dated 4/11 for the 2/19 and 3/9 closings. I recieved a check dated 3/25 for closing done on 3/18, but was shorted $15. I have still not received a check for the 3/16 closing I did and when I spoke to Tony on May 26th, he said he would cut it that weekend. I still have no $$$ for the 3/16 closing and a shortage for a 3/18 closing.

I only accepted the assignments because Tony Negrete had a good reputation for payment on the boards.

Based on my experience, he is a quick payor 25% of the time, the other 75% of the time you have to call, email and pray.

I'm still looking for that check, Tony, please advise.

I would be glad to continue to work with your company if you could explain your payment process to me and then follow it.

Thank you for responding, Tony

I am not one to "bash" Companies on this, or any other board. I do, however, believe I have a responsibility to the Notary community to report the facts, good or bad. I never thought for once that I would not be paid in full, but I did wonder why I was not experiencing what other notaries had.

I look forward to working with you and your gals in the near future.

Good luck on your new account, I hope you get it.

Becca

I got the error message too when I tried to apply. But, apparently I had applied a long time ago - and just didn't remember doing so. I asked that my user/pswd be sent to me - signed in and corrected all the old info.

It great to see a respected SS getting a lot of business. This is good news for those of you who deal with NNS on a regular basis. That said, however, I would like to point out that this is the second notice from NNS on this subject in a relatively short period of time. The assumptions are then that he has utilized all of the FL notaries in his database and needs more or, he is not happy with those in his database and is looking to re-stock. As a FL notary who has signed up with NNS, and one who has not seen any business from him, I can only assume the latter but would like some explanation if this is the case. A possible third assumption would be that he is looking for notaries that have lots (years/#of signings) of experience but if this is the case, he should advertize as such rather than have new SA's sign on and not see any work.

I am working on a new client in Fl. I still have my work cut out for me to get the client. When I get them I will have work for just about everyone in Fl. I am sorry that I do not call everyone in FL at this time, but I don't have that much work there right now. Remember I am a nationwide company that does work all over the country, therefore I am spread out all over.

If I told you who the client was I would make all of you very happy people. I will tell you one thing, the SS that is doing there closings right now is a (very low paying SS). I won't elaborate any futher than that. If the client gives me the go ahead, trust me I will have more than enough work for everyone in FL.

Tony, you have a post from Beccccccca that needs answering. I personally would appreciate it if you would respond to that before anymore posts pertaining to your new client.

That post didn't address her shortage. I too was wondering about that. He may have settled it with her and we are unaware. However, it would benefit the way his company is viewed to explain the shortage.

>>> However, it would benefit the way his company is viewed to explain the shortage. <<<

I disagree, from a purely business perspective. As a business person, business relationships are not open to the public, nor should they be, unless all parties involved wish and agree to make them public. Becca voiced a concern to which Tony responded. The manner of the issue and settlement are not of our concern. We only need to know if Tony took the matter under advisement and Becca received a satisfactory settlement. Everything in between is between Tony and Becca.

Same goes for the business relationship between PAW Notary Services and Negrete's Notary Service or the personal relationship between Tony and myself.

I don't disagree with what you are saying. But reguarding shortages in general there have been some posts on notaries being shorted. Sometimes it is fair and sometimes it is not. It's good to learn what the reason for a shortage is as part of learning the business. I know that if we follow the instructions given by the ss to the letter then we will be fine. However I think that we all didn't learn it all in our NSA class and can think of something that we learned as a result of these boards that kept us from making a mistake. So I think my statement would be better worded as "an explaination would help me understand not only what I should do as an NSA but also what the ss needs from me" Then I wouldn't have any reason to wonder about the ss.

That being said... I've read quite a few posts on Negrete's and with the exception of Becca's post it was all positive (and it looks to be taken care of in a timely manor by Tony himself and now is a non-issue). I would certainly welcome any assignments from Tony as he has shown a great deal of professionalism and his company has a great reputation.
