Printing doc's on HP3015
Okay I have a HP3015 and I seem to have trouble printing doc's from Lenders first choice. I had to go and print them at a friends house tonight. It is a pdf file and I have printed other pdf doc's with no problems. My printer is pcl 6 so I want know if anyone else has had a problem with doc's from Lenders first choice? or is it something I'm doing (or computer problem that I don't know how to figure out?) Thanks b.

Do the instructions say anything about making certain you have any particular print utility so you can print?

No not a word. I haven't had any other trouble except with this company.

You didn't state what sort of problem you had (garbled characters, mis-formatting, no print or error messages). Anyway you should alway make sure you have the latest version of Acrobat, some documents use new features and font handlers. Also check the document properties/font tool and see if the doc has unusual fonts that are not imbedded in the document.

I just uninstalled 5.0 and installed 7.0. The problem I had was extremely slow printing. I would take 10-15 minutes to print 5 pages. The email co would print garbled like it was increpted (sp?) anyway I'm going to retry it with the 7.0 and see if I have better luck.

You may have already done so, but:
1. Did you download and save the file to your HDD before printing? A large file may be damaged (due to broken connection) when it's opened directly from the source.
2. Did you try reducing the print resolution? PDF are text scanned to image at different resolutions which affect how fast you can print.

Did you have the same problem printing at your friend's house with this file. I know I had a PDF file the other day that took about 40 minutes to print 100 pages. I spoke to a computer engineer. (And I have seen it before). It depends on the way they scanned the docs. This file was almost a gigabyte in the printer que. Others .pdf's are fast.

Well I after uninstalling 5.0 and installing 7.0 I seem to have fixed the problem. I also turned off my printer and let it kind of re-boot. To clear out the memory.
My friend has 5.0 and didn't seem to have any problem with the same package.
The way the package is set up I couldn't save it and print. I tried but it wouldn't let me.
Thanks to everyone for the advice. I just wanted to fix this problem before I had to get to it first thing today. b.

Guess What!!!
I just received docs in pdf format. I have a 1320tn and a 1220 both laserjets from HP. I am outputting the file on the 1320tn and it is slower than slow. (Second experience with this). I decided to output second copy on the 1220. It is already finished while my 1320 is still trudging along. (Is trudging a word? lol). Anyhow I am running Acrobat Reader 7.0. So it is not the program but something with the printer drivers, I would imagine. I am going to call HP as soon as I become unburied from this end of month.
Interesting, though, yes?

I had the same problem today. I just did a cancel print and then restarted the printing 5 pages at a time. It worked fine, so I increased the number of pages, and printed out two sets of docs with no problem.
