Questions re: E&O Insurance

I have carried E&O since I started doing part time MN work in GA. Now I'm in NY. Would anyone know if E&O in one state covers you for another? Or do I need a new E&O contract? It's Sunday so I will call Western Surety tomorrow also since I may get too many of you upset with a question I should know.

Second. Have any of you had a situation arise where you've been sued and had to get your E&O company involved? And how did it turn out? Any suggestions on what in particular to watch out for?

Third. How much coverage is enough coverage? GA goes to $25K. NY goes much higher.

I have done mainly Nasco signings and have never yet run into a problem. TIA to all.

You need a new E&O policy for New York. I had a policy in Florida. When I moved to NY, I needed a new one. Never had to use it. Some companies require that you have it when you apply with them. I have $25K. Nobody has objected to that amount of coverage. It apparantly satisfied their requirements.
