I am just stating out as a new moblie notary and I would like to know how much I should charge the TC for my services. like for exsample, travel long distance, and to print out documents, also if they ask for an extra document.

Use the search button ~~ fees
Please search the past messages when you have questions.
Searching with the word Fees will get you better results than Rates.
Fees is a more common word in this industry. You will catch on to the lingo as you learn.

My minimum fee for overnight docs is $100.00. Depending how far outside my travel area they want me to go, I charge an additional $25.00, and for the E-docs that is another $25.00. Those are my standard rates. Somtimes the TC wants me to do a 1st and 2nd. For this, I charge $225.00. Some might think that excessive, but I get it every time. The additional $75.00 is actually half price as to what I am charging for the 1st. Again, time to download, copy, printer use, toner, paper, time at the signing; I believe my rates are more than reasonable. The TC's and the SS's must think so too because I make a steady income and maintain repeat business. In the last two months, I find myself referring work to others or turning it down completely because my schedule is filled.

I had a late night and an early morning waiting on e-docs, so I'm probably not thinking along the same path as you, but I don't understand your calculations ...
you charge $100 for overnight and $25 for e-docs (within your travel area) and that equals $125. For a first and second, you say you the additional $75 is one-half the price of the first -- you are either automatically assuming that you are going to be traveling out of your area for this and adding an additional $25, or do you just automatically add the $25 for the first and second? Otherwise, $125 plus $62.50 (one-half of $125) equals $187.50 or $188 if you round it up. If my calculations are right, you are tacking an additional $37 onto what you are saying is half price to just your first.

Good, I was hoping my lack of sleep hadn't dulled my senses that much.
