Service Link....Cancellations
I was just wondering if others are taking appts with Sevice Link and then within 24 hours of closing they are cancelled. I am find this very typical with company. 90% of the loan I schedule with them have been cancelled. Is this happening to anyone else?

They have a very high cancelation rate. If they call you with a week or more before the appointment expect it to cancel.
Its the nature of the beast, I have had 4 appointments made and 5 minutes later 3 canceled.(not servicelink)

Re: Service Link....in general
I signed up with them yesterday, and got a call from them saying sorry...you must be doing signings for 2 years or more, before they will hire you. So out of curiosity I asked how much they pay, $65 plus $15 for e-docs, so $80 bucks for 2 years of experience. Give me a break...please tell me that you experienced signers get more than that!!! I have only been "signing" since february, but have been busy every week, thats to the internet. I have been gaining experience daily I also 10+ (current) years of real estate experience that comes in handy. I feel that my 10+ years in RE easily equal 2 in loan signing...so does Service link pay more if you ask? I guess I might know find out for two years!

I've done quite a few signings for them and it's more work than anything! They always want you to fax numerous pages back (at least 30 pgs) before sending the package. You have to wait for a call to let you know that you can send out package and to top it off, you split the package - a portion goes to Servicelink and a portion goes to the lender or escrow company. Too much for me! I'm definitely through with them!!

looking on the signing services tab here on notrot, they are listed as ServiceLink Title Co; being a title company...seems they could ship back to the lender, like all the other title companies do

In general... No. Unless they are really, really, really, desperate.

Amen, Mike...
I had nine in two months scheduled. One materialized. In the wake of their scheduling I also lost good signing appointments as a result. They cost me $250 in two of my leanest months that way. No way. Not again.

I had 1 cancell this week from Service Link. This is not uncommon for them. I called the borrower to confirm the time and the borrower had no clue that that time was scheduled. She couldnt do it at that time and snapped at me because no one called her previously.

I just posted a question about ServiceLink tonight. I wish I'd done a search first. I can't believe the stuff you have to do before sending back the package. I don't think I've ever needed to use as many post it notes and tape flags that I used Friday night for this signing. I'll never do another signing for this company ever never ever again. It's to time consuming. And, what's it with sending part of the docs (originals and certain copies) back to one place and the other docs to another location. Now that was confusing. Usually, everything goes back to the title company and they do the separating. I think this company wants us to do the leg work for them to cut their costs. Amazing. Beware and charge more if you take a job from this company.
