Sylvia Help

I looked at everything and changed profile to alias but can't get name to change to Teasa from Patricia. Also, did everything in the world to get picture bigger, any help.

Sylvia, Thanks for the referral. Smiley

Teasa, I have changed Patricia to Teasa in your profile's greeting/author attribute, which is what you will now see as a choice when you are posting. I also changed your profile type from "organization" to "person." The organization type generally applies to people or very small, localized signing services who refer to themselves as businesses (e.g. XYZ Signing Co of Alameda). This characterization really only affects the way profile names are displayed.

In answer to your picture question... The picture spot in your profile will best accommodate a "portrait" photo - one that is more tall than it is wide. When you upload it to our system, it is resized to fit the space on your profile, but the aspect ratio (proportions) of the picture are maintained.

In your case, the photo you originally uploaded was closer to "landscape" in orientation. When our system resized it, it had to make it narrow enough to fit your profile's photo box. In keeping the proportion, it also had to make it shorter, which is why it appeared somewhat scrunched at the top of the photo frame.

I grabbed the picture you originally uploaded and cropped it, removing much of the left and right sides to get it closer to a portrait photo. I then uploaded it again. Upon resizing, the revised image filled more of your photo box, as you can see. That's the quick-and-dirty method of fixing this problem.

The better solution would be to upload a photo taken in portrait mode. If you have access to a digital camera, try having it turned sideways before the picture is taken. Remember that you can always update your photo on the site by uploading a new picture if you care to experiment. You can also remove an existing picture if unhappy with the results.

I hope this helps.

Wow! This is one reason we love this place!

Harry has again gone above and beyond, IMHO. Just one more example of why people happily go to Premier Membership when they see how much Harry does for us.

Harry, thanks. The picture looks much better, couldn't see before. Thanks so much for tips. However, one more thing, I don't want Octavia in name and can't get out. Just want Teasa Mahar. THANKS HARRY
