answer to my own question
Went to other notary message boards and most of the comments were negative! The majority of notaries who have dealt with them have had non payment issues. Went to the BBB website and was able to locate their headquarters which is in Newport Beach, CA. BBB did not have much to report on them and gave them a D rating. One complaint was brought to their attention by the BBB, which they failed to respond to. Got a call from them on Saturday for a signing which I did. Will wait to see if they pay on time before I write them off permanently. The mere fact that they do not disclose an address on their confirmation is fishy enough, but one tends to give them the benefit of the doubt when they are still getting their feet wet in the business. Already have a pretty extensive No-No list. Accepted the signing because I thought they were Veri-docs (reputable), but they quickly corrected me and said they were Veridox, with an X. Anyhow, just passing my findings along.
