What documents do you fax back after a signing

A signing company asked that I fax back the following documents. Is this normal and/or typical?

1 - the signed closing instructions
2 - the signed hud
3 - the mortgage and any riders
4 - the note
5 - the TIL
6 - the deed
7 - the signature/name aff

Thanks,

Sonya

Each signing service is unique

Some want 20+ pages, others just 3.

For the mortgage, the signing service may want only the signature and notarial pages.

Unfortunately, there are no hard and fast rules. Just do what you're told....

Every company is different, but that seems like the basic fax back requirements. The only thing I would do is find out if they really need the whole mortgage and the whole note, or if you can just send the signature pages - this can cut your number of pages down quite a bit.

All lenders are different. If there docs that you are required to fax back, look in the closing instructions in the loan packet or check your work order from the company that gave you the job (there should be instructions).

Charge them $1 per page to fax back and maybe they won't need as many.

I have tried to charge a fee in the past (1 time), but the SS gave me a "800" number to fax back to and used that as an excuse to not pay extra. Not even considering my time.

There shouldn't be any additional charge for faxbacks. It goes with the territory and most companies don't require it anyway. If a company has ridiculous faxback requrements then either don't work for them or incorporate that into the fee you initially quote them.

I sort of agree, in that I don't charge for faxing in my completion report, invoice and a couple of pages. I draw the line at 10 pages, though. Pulling apart a document set to fax back all the notarization pages, the signature page of the HUD, Note, TIL and DOT/mortgage, is a bit much. The only time I will fax back those specific pages is for purchases or other "immediate funding" loans (those without an RTC), so the loan can fund the same day or the following day.
