What the?
Was called to do two signings in my area. Told them that I would work around the other one that I had already scheduled, but to let me know in the early a.m. as to status of "their" signings.
The day went on without any confirmation nor a phone call from the company. I went and did the other job that I had, came back to the office at 4 p.m. and found that no confirmation or message was left for me regarding these two signings. So......I left the office.
Lo and behold at 5 p.m. the agency leaves me a voice mail about one of the signings. Doc's are now in my in box according to them. Got back to office at 6:30, played the message and called them back. The signing was never confirmed so I declined to do it. Need less to say they weren't happy and will probably never call me again, which is fine w/me. What would some of you have done in this situation? I can't be sitting by the phone and computer waiting all day for a confirmation. In the past the confirmation has come within a few minutes of the phone conversation. Thanks for letting me vent.

I'd have done the same thing, as I have learned the hard way, that no confirmation means no signing. That's why it is called a confirmation. And I would have explained it to the SS just that way. In the beginning of my carreer as a signing agent I too, had waited for the SS confirmations, but too many times I did only that: Waited.

My take: they are getting used to dealing with newbies who don't have several signings lined up and are willing to sit & wait & keep checking. The flip side is: how long are you supposed to wait for a CO that may never come cuz somebody found someone cheaper? You did the right thing. They want; they want---we want, too! A CO is assurance that you do, indeed, have this job & can plan. No CO leaves you hanging.

What kills me is that they have the nerve to be pissed.

I had a call yesterday. First she called and my husband answered. She wanted to know if I could do a signing in a town 60 miles away. He has my schedule. He said yes she can. She says I have to talk to her. (Why did she ask him?) O. K. He gives her the phone number.
I talked to her. Conversation goes like this "You do signing at 1:30? I said," I have one in the same town at 12:30pm, I can probably be there by 1:30." She then says, "No you be done by 1:30". (Say what)
Now I realize ther seems to be a problem with someone's comprehension of the English language.
I again say "I have a signing at 12:30pm, (my husband had told this to begin with). She then asks me, "You do it at 12:00pm? I then asked her "Is this for a refi?" she says "Yes". I then have to explain, that is not enough time to do a refi and get to my next appoint. She then tells me " Needs to be done between 11:00-1:30. Now I think we are getting some where. I said "I can do it at 11:00." She then says call customer and call her right back. Now I pull off the road, and try to call customer. Can't get customer or her back. As I'm dialing. She calls me. Says she called the customer. The time is O.K. (Why did she ask me to call the customer and then tied up the number so I couldn't get thru) Now I think again we are making headway. Now she ask me, "You got Dynamic Docs?" I said "yes." She then is amazed I'm registered. Now she tells me I may not get the docs until 1 hour before the signing to print them. I am now trying to explain that it is over an hour drive one way, that we both are in a rural location. She then says to me "You must be there at 11:00" She then has the gall to ask "Can you do it?" Now certainly I can do it if I have the docs in time, but if I don't? I again try to explain that we are both in a rural location, she doesn't say anything. I then asked "Do you know what RURAL means?" Can you tell I've had it by now. She then says 'Yes, can you do?" At that point I wanted to yank her thru the phone.
After 1 hour and no confirmation, I called the number. I reach a man, very nice, speaks very good english, very polite. He puts me thru to her. She's waiting to hear back from the lender before she sends the confirmation. This was yesterday.
I still have no confirmation.
Why would a large company have someone on the phone like this who doesn't comprehend English or what this job requirements are? Don't get me wrong, I love accents of all kinds, but when there is a lanuage problem to begin with and the person doesn't seem to comprehend anything you are saying.
I don't even want to work for them.

Called to a person here in town for a signing tonight. Wife says: "You come at 7...no no no...you come tomorrow at 12:30." I say, but I should come tonight! She says, "No! 12:30 on June 29" I say, "Today is the 29th.?.?" You want me today at 12:30 today?"
NO! Tomorrow - you come 12:30!
Okay...I called the TC and explained...they said " Uh...NO."
So, finally I get Mr. on the phone and ask him if he's going to sign the documents tonight.
"I don't know documents!"
Oh dear me. I just hope when I get there I can communicate with them in person. I have a feeling tthey are very bright people here in school...and, if that's true they will be able to read better than I can...if not...well...guess I'll lose one of my very best clients because I cannot do it if they cannot communicate with me.
We'll see!

===============
Because she'll get more done at EOM by pretending not to understand...she understands, but she's pretending not to. My mom does this to people...she just keeps repeating, "But, I don't understand!" Finally, people get tired and just say okay...whatever...just stop asking me to explain .
Now...the part about the confirmation would throw me into a royal tizzy...**I** would not be able to remember where I was supposed to go...the time...I'd not be able to understand a thing.
This gal's a steam roller with a cute little accent. Sounds like a dragon lady to me!

Eng(er)lish is 2nd language to me so when/if someone can not comprehend or use broken english, I'd do the same; 9/10 s/he will comprehend.

Re: What the? Nd -
Are you saying if the lady says to me: "You come tomorrow12:30." I should say, "No. I come 7 pm today."
If you are, I appreciate that. I would have felt broken English on my part would have been rude. T H A N K Y O U for the tip.
