Wording help
I need some help with wording. I have a client who wants me to Notarize a POA. Other than me signing and stamping what word do I write on the POA? Something like: Befor me _____________ a Notary for the state of VA and the Couty of Chesapeake attest that __________________ appeared before me with suitable identification.
I have done hundreds of loans but everything was alreday typed in and I am having a senior moment DAH! Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Violet /VA

Not going to get into the UPL question.
The POA should already have the wording for a jurat. (If not, it must be a home made POA and a real dangerous document.)
You just notarize the jurat section, if witness are required, have them sign.
Nothing real special - just another notarization.
Try search for "legal forms" with the search button. Probably can find website mentioned in postings where you or your client can see the wording for a POA.

P.S> Be careful

Typically, powers of attorney have acknowledgments, not jurats. And they should be already printed on the instrument, or you should have instructions from the attorney who drafted the document to attach a loose certificate.

So many of the public are just getting them off the internet or the stationery store.
