adjustable rate mort. note
Hi, I am fairly new to loan signing, I have just done 3. I am scheduled to do one today that is different. In my packet there is an adjustable rate mortgage note. At the end, it is not adressed in the acknowledgement or jurat wording, all it says is "witness the hands and seals of the undersigned" My q's is do I notarize this. Usually it is adressed with all the wording. I know I sound dumb, but could someone please give me some feed back. Thanks alot

If it's the note, typically they aren't notarized. "Witnessed my hand and seal" is old wording that simply means "signed by" and does not necessarily mean notarized. In the olden days, back when Hugh was an aspiring attorney, people used wax seals on official documents. Thus the terminology of "seal" meaning a signature.

So that is when Hugh was born? We need to give respect to our ELDERS, is that true in this case?

I used to actually write the wording in on that document and notarize it, just to CMA. Now, know if it is the note, no it does not need to be signed. But I too had to ask

Jennie, I am not sure what you are saying. When I said thanks to Paw, I meant it as a thank you very much.
