employer employee fees

My employer is collecting notary fees from me even though my job does not require me to be a notary. I am curious as to how much others receive. My employer said that 50cents is my cut on a 10 dollar fee.

What state are you in? Have you looked to your State manual for an answer?

**My employer is collecting notary fees from me even though my job does not require me to be a notary.**

If being a notary is not required as part of your job - how does your employer even know that a) you are a notary and b) what notarizations you have accomplished in order to calculate your 'cut'?

Is it just me or does this thread sound awfully familiar...

SamIam,
we just went thru this with a gal working for one of the Universities a week or so ago.

Post your state, Ravn...

You'll get more worthwhile help.

Find your notary handbook if you have one and see what it says about it, if anything.
