i am from new jersey, i charge $75 plus $25 e-docs. Is that too low, too high or fair??

That is my usual fee for Florida too. I have about 6 steady SS that call me regularly (not just at the end of the month) and that is my standard fee.

I take it you are referring to refinances (as opposed to HELOCS); thus it seems reasonable. I suppose a lot depends on the distance you have to travel.

I too am from New Jersey (Gloucester County) and that's what I charge for refinance loans. Sometimes I get a little more but I rarely take less than that unless it is literally around the corner from me.

What part of New Jersey are you from?

That is a decent rate for a SS within a 30 minute round trip. Our rate is higher, but I get very little SS work. I use SS's during the first week of the month only (slowest time for us).

Don't forget it's NJ and the COL is very high, I don't walk out the door for nothing less then $100.00
