storing/organizing good info from NotRot?

Does anyone have a good way of saving and storing info they might want to refer back to? When I joined NotRot (even before) I began reading from the first post and was pretty amazed at all the really, really good information here. (Someone could become a signing agent just by reading what's here, I swear). My mistake was to not save the good stuff at the time I read it.

Lately, when I see a good post with info I might want to refer back to, I've been cutting and pasting to a word document on my desktop...and it's pretty jumbled up and getting longer.

Anybody have a better way - or does anybody else do this? If I look for a topic and use search, I get way more than what I wanted to find in the first place, then eventually lose the 'search' page unless I hit 'back' on my computer....

Am I the only one that is this anal, or anybody more anal-ly inclined found a better way to save stuff?

I have a folder system on my computer to place those pages in folders on related topics, just like one would a filing cabinet.

Well I never thought of myself as anal-ly inclined but call me Notary Ho because I do the same thing as you and Barry. (I have my NOTROT folder with files for notes on Documents, IDs, SS's good/bad, stories, marketing, tips, etc.)

I write notes or print and file in a 3 ring folder and categorize with tabs... just like in highschool, it works for me.
