In my area, Florida, that would be fair so long as I was signing within a 20 mile radius.

Where in Florida are you located? IMHO, $100 for an Ameriquest loan is not a fair price no matter where you are located & no matter how close it is to you.

Re: Mysti

I fully concur. $100 for Ameriquest is ridiculous for overnight docs, must less with edocs. If I remember correctly (IIRC for the abbreviation challenged), I have had only one "easy" Ameriquest signing and that took well over an hour to weed through all the documents. My base to even consider an AQ signing in my zip code is $150 if the docs are made available by courier the day before the signing. Last minute edocs starts at $250. (I don't do many of them, for sure.)

Re: Mysti

Oh. Sorry. I didn't realize Ameriquest loan signings were any different than typical. For the typical loan signing, with e-docs, I get anywhere from $75 to $125. No wonder I've been getting so many calls! (No wonder I am not ready to live off this full time???? LOL....ok, ok, I know I'm still a newbie!)

100 is more than fair, if you are going directly though ameriquest they will pay up to 225. per closing

I have red so many bad things about amerquest loans that I would think it twice before accepting a signing.

I would say it depends onhow experienced you are and how far away the signing is.

Myself, I won't touch an Ameriquest for under $150

Re: what are some of the issues with Ameriquest Loans

I just finished an Ameriquest loan.....rather large pkgs....do a couple a month and they are just exasperatingly long transactions.....between theirs and the title co...had a total of 8 notarizations. Charged $150.00 incl. e-mail and copies....would have charged more but this title co. gives me alot of work for the last 5 yrs. Takes another hour to split the pkg up and make addl copies.

Re: what are some of the issues with Ameriquest Loans

My biggest problem with Ameriquest Loans are the legal size sheet that has about 50 lines of requested information about the bwrs. The borrowers sometimes get angry when you get to the part about previous marriages.

Other than that they are not that big of a pain to me.
