I have emailed Denise what I would charge for this but this brings up a good question.

>>>Last minute charge<<<

I don't charge one because if I cannot take it, I just say no.

I suppose if it were late night, I would consider one, but what do others think?

I don't charge for last minute closings either. The only time I charge extra is if the signing has been schedule and I don't receive the docs within my 2-3 hour deadline time frame.

The only time I go outside my normal rates is the last day of the month when some company calls you at 10pm and ask for a signing before midnight.

I throw out an insane number some take it, some don't depends how bad they want the loan to fund for month end.

I would kindly "suggest" to the person hiring you that they must have had a pretty good "bribe" in mind. I always get more than I would ask that way. Sometimes they are willing to pay $$$$ to get these done and we would never know unless we have them start with the numbers. We can always counter if it is too low.

I only do this on new to me companies who do not use me regularly. I wouldn't do it for a company that I have a working relationship with.

I did charge $25. extra for the very first assignment because it was a 3 hour notice. Thinking back, I wonder if I subconsciously tried not to take it for being my first.
Today I was asked to go on a three hour round trip from a known low pay company. She politely asked if she could call me back after I said $150. + e-doc fee...never did lol

It seems the only last minute company that calls me is for HFC down the street and their fee is set in stone, I always take those if I can.

I don't usually charge extra for a last minute closing.but if the company is desperate enough to have waited so long, they should pay you extra. Especially for those aggravating email docs that never get emailed on time!!!
