Fingerprinting

In the "Find a Notary" section there is a question asked "Does Fingerprinting?" Is this something seperate from the fingerprinting we do on documents?

Yes, fingerprinting is not what we do as a notary on documents and journals. That is simply a single [usually] thumbprint. To do 10-card fingerprinting, like you get done when "booked" (Smiley) is an art and science unto itself. There are training sessions and special kits needed to do proper fingerprinting that would be acceptable by government agencies, such as law enforcement and homeland security.
