Gas Price

It's $2.10/gal here in Kansas. Spent $80 to fill up my SUV. Hate it!

It doesn't hurt as bad if you don't let it get below 1/2 tank.

Hee...hee... It also hurts when I have to fill up every 3 days!

It's a psychological thing, I'm sure, and I know that I'm spending the same amount of money filling up a couple times a week as opposed to once, but it still doesn't seem to hurt as much.

They started telling us last Friday that within the next few days, gas was going to increase a quarter, so I filled everything up before the increase. So far, it's only gone up about a dime. On my web site I have a link for gas prices which might be of interest to you.

Paying over $2.24 for regular today. Looked up your website. Very nicely done...and, clever too (pdf file on charges and graph). Liked the calendar setup..Very professional. Noticed that the 8th is a special day....Happy Birthday to you.

Then I consider myself lucky! Because I thought the $1.90 (highest) I saw today was outrageous! Thank God I'm not in Kansas.

Diana,

Isn't that the truth? I wish we could get from place to place on a bike! If only! Not likely here in the land of HUMMERS and LAND ROVERS!

I filled up at $2.22 and thought it was a deal. A sorry state of affairs. Just hold on to those gas receipts... keep a log and it will help, if only a little bit. Keep the faith!

God Bless Texas!

Last time I filled up it was at $1.63.

Cheap gas, Blue Bell Home Made Vanilla Ice Cream, bluebonnets, and women who don't need surgical enhancement -- if God had made Texas first, he'd never have made heaven.

By Little Texas. And I bet you think that besides "God Bless Texas", the best songs ever written were "waltz across texas" and "San Antonio Stroll"

Where in Texas are you located? I have some property in the El Paso area and love the southwest of New Mexico and Texas.

Re: Gas Price-Average here 2.29 per gal. and rising!

I guess i shouldn't complain too much..... it's only 1.79 in Central NJ (can you believe i can say only - a few years ago it was .89).

i'm just thankful I got rid of my Explorer.....

at this rate we'll have to increase our fees to make up for the gas prices. interesting piece on ABC lats night about the increase and how it's affecting small businesses. the added expense gets passed on to the comsumer. how do you think the SS's would feel about that Smiley

Re: Gas Price-Average here 2.29 per gal. and rising!

Gas here is still lower then most, $1.60 but our stupid legislatures are wanting to increase the tax per-gallon an additional .22 cents (now at .17) and I've heard some reports that say it could spike as much as $3.00 a gallon by summer. If so, fees will increase as well.

Re: Gas Price-Average here 2.29 per gal. and rising!

I remember in early 02 when the gas prices accross the country averaged less than a buck per gallon. I drove from Atlanta to Califronia and the prices ranged from .93 to 1.06 and this is for premium unleaded. The federal government needs to open up the national reserve and drive down prices again as they did after 9/11.

Re: Gas Price-Average here 2.29 per gal. and rising!

Yes, and isn't it amazing how prices seem to jump just before spring break when more people will be driving and then again just before summer when even more people are driving? It's all one big scam and they have everyone over a barrel and they know it. It sucks!!!

Re: Gas Price-Average here 2.29 per gal. and rising!

Ive been thinking very seriously about buying a Civic HX which it gets like 45MPG in the highway but it seems that not all dealers carry them or a Hybrid but in the electric car you will have to drive it like
10 years in order to recup the extra cost of the electric system.

The Civic GX which is powered by Natural gas is also 3500 above a regular civc

I dont know, lol
