Help please

I have a signing in the early AM. In the pac it has a page that says Exhibit A nothing else on page next page LEGAL ADDENDUM then talks about the lot and Tax ID # 24 month chain of title. No signiture or Initials. Then a loose all purpose Ack.
What am I acknowledging ?? Or are they just slipping one in????
Thanks

Della like linda mentioned that schedule A form usually comes with the mortgage. It's a legal description of the property. That acknowledgement you have there should be for the mortgage so just notarize it like all the others. As far as that schedule A document, if it's a Chase refi that you are doing, Chase usually wants it signed by the borrower(s). Hope this helps.

if it doesn't specify what it it is attached to.

Della, If you don't have anything to attach the Ack to with a signature, don't use it. I have had companies send an Ack on a couple of occasions. The Exhibit A is probably a requirement of another document, but they don't have the info for it yet. Is it possible the Legal Addendum will become the legal description required for Exhibit A?

If I had made this post Chicago Bob would call me and say to remain calm and do the job like I know I should.

If this does not help and you want to fax it to me I will be up 2 hours before you for an 8 am in the morning myself. However, I think you have explained the situation well and actually answered your own question about the ack. The Act is probably not part of a big communist plot to overthrow the rights of borrowers...but I like to run these kinds of things passed someone, too. If there's nothing to ack, then don't use it. IMHO...ONLY.

Remain Calm and do the job you know you can do

The "legal addendum" sounds like a transcript of the title search. It should show how bwr holds title and that sould conform to the names on the docs. You do not need to do anything with it , other than read it if you are so inclined.
The legal description on Ex A will be completed by the title co. The question as to if this is problem has been discussed to death here and on other boards
The loose ack is there if needed. Should NOT be signed unless it is tied into a specific doc
Hey, Brenda

Re: Remain Calm and do the job you know you can do

Thank You for the response,I understand what the two pages are, it was good to hear your understanding of them.
The deed of trust already has an Ack .Like Brenda said I answered my own Question but I needed to put it out there to hear myself.
Do my job as I know I should ,I 'll remember that ! Good advice. Smiley It will be sent back blank.
