Humphrey's homophobia
I don't read Korey Humphrey's posts. The dissembling and the braggadocio were bad enough, but they could be tolerated -- barely -- if he had anything to contribute. The sheer childishness of his various rantings, though, eventually became more than I could stomach. Everytime I read one of his posts, I felt like I was dealing with a 6-year-old who had been tossed into an adult environment, and didn't know any way to behave other than as a 6-year-old, and an immature 6-year-old at that.
Yesterday, though, I was going through a thread and clicked on a post and started reading it before I realized who it was. I felt like I had stepped in dog crap. The post was about CaliNotary, who has said quite openly on this forum that he is gay.
Humphrey used Notary Rotary to engage in what can only be called queer-bashing, something his earlier posts had been edging toward for some time. It was an abominable display of bigotry, and displayed a meanness of spirit I did not think possible in a 6-year-old mind. This foul-minded zit on the ass of humanity attempted to use a person's sexual orientation to undermine his professional stature. That sort of tactic has no place on this forum, or any other that I know of, with the possible exception of skinhead sites. I don't know if Harry has time nowadays to read the list, but I intend to copy him with this e-mail.
One other thing. I have been truly disappointed that other members have not spoken up and let this febrile imitation of a professional know how reprehensible his conduct is. Maybe you have, and I just missed it. Or maybe you, like me, no longer read Humphrey's posts, and were unaware of the bile he is spewing on Notary Rotary. I hope one of those is the case, because otherwise, it doesn't speak well of the membership here at all.

yes, I saw that and replied to his post...also after I responded to the "MA poster wanting info on issuing subpoenas yesterday, I'm convinced that he used an alias once again to converse with himself and further his sad attempts at advertising within the body of the post. That also should be brought to Harry's attention.

The time has indeed come ...
... to boycott all of his posts, including is replies to others' postings.
I did not see the posting to which HisHughness refers. I do agree, however, that gay bashing has no place here or in any other gathering of civilized people. Bigotry in any form should not be tolerated.
The simplest way to encourage someone who is behaving unacceptably is to deny them the attention they crave. I urge everyone to not respond to anything posted (or emailed) by the current thorn in our sides.

Unfortunately, if he uses alias such as, and if he is indeed, the woman who posted from MA, there is no way to know, until it is too late.

Hugh, If You're Going to Make an Example...
...of the "esteemed" Mr. Humphrey for his bashing remarks, then I believe you also need to be just as critical of CaliNotary for his out & out hostility toward Christians. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen CaliNotary lash out at any mention of Jesus on the board & yet there's not a word of condemnation from you. Simply being a tad bit hypocritical, Hugh or just selective in your indignation?
By the way, until you've just "outed" him I didn't have a clue as to what you purport to be CaliNotary's sexual inclinations & I STILL don't know it for 100% fact OR care to for that matter. I hadn't read Korey's posting making those insinuations till you posted it out front for all to see. I hope you checked with CaliNotary to ensure you had his blessings for your enlightening commentary.

Here we go again !
Dennis - you may want to stand way back. The last slamming of "Corey" got a little out of hand. Folks on this forum seem to be intimated by Corey's (PROBLEMS) and tend to want to verbalize this with great hostility. OK OK - we already know all of what you are saying HUGH! Try not to have a heart attack over it. Thank GOD it's Friday - maybe you could have a glass of wine or something.

Re: Hugh, If You're Going to Make an Example...
Without turning NotRot into another Inquisition, there is a vast gulf between someone who publicly decries homosexuals and someone who denounces religious bigotry. I have not seen the posts you refer to, Dennis, but those by CaliNotary that I have seen were responsive to religious carping by others. I seldom go out of my way to censure religious beliefs, unless the propounder of such beliefs steps on my toes, at which point I may suffer a reflex action that plants an 8 1/2D on his or her butt. That, I gather, is the same reaction CaliNotary has.
Furthermore, adoption of a religious belief is a voluntary process, even though Christians may believe that God Himself is crooking His finger to seek their enlistment on His side. With limited exceptions, though, such as the situational homosexuality encountered in prison, homosexuality is not voluntary. Engaging in homosexual acts may be a product of one's desire, but the homosexuality itself is innate. It would be possible, of course, for any homosexual to deny the very core of his being, his sexuality, and refuse to engage in any manifestations of his sexual orientation. But, you know, Dennis, I don't see heterosexuals doing that, not even Christian heterosexuals. In fact, it is my observation that virtually anyone in this country who is under 50 and has been unmarried for more than three years finds some way around those pesky Biblical injunctions against extra-marital sex. To paraphrase Paul, even if they don't marry they still ain't prepared to burn.
You've spoken. I've responded. We should let the matter rest there. The beliefs of nobody, absolutely nobody, on this forum are going to be changed by our posts. In fact, if there was such an individual, I would be in fear of his spiritual well-being if he is using this venue for either religious or non-religious enlightenment.
EVERYONE PLEASE NOTE: I DID NOT SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY TO NOTE THAT 'RELIGIOUS ENLIGHTENMENT' IS AN OXYMORON. I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF.

Maybe these will help:
The coming out - Msg 9325
The "hostility toward Christians" - Msg 10780, Msg 10839, Msg 14179.
If you wanna compare those posts to the one Hugh is discussing, feel free. It's a baseless, witless, kneejerk reaction completely free of merit or independent thought, but who am I to tell you how to think?
Most people on this board have seen my hostile posts. Any rational person can tell that the ones you're referring to are not among them. Hell, by my standards they're practically buttkissing.
And if you can find any addional posts to refute me, please post them. Those are the only ones I could find using the keywords "christian" and "jesus".

I didn't see the post or I would have come down on KH like twelve tons of bricks. And I would have reported him to Harry as you did.
I have found gay bashers to be men who lack confidence in their own masculinity and ethics. The more they pound their chests in protest, the more I am convinced of their insecurity.

Hugh, I read the post, and thought it was childish and not deserving of a response. I also assumed that if CaliNotary was so inclined, he is more than able to defend himself against such witless postings. I thought that the post was insinuating pedifilia, which I found, and assumed others would also, to be a ridiculous attempt to bait CaliNotary. As far as Cali's sexual inclinations, I had no information regarding that, nor do I want any, as it is irrelevent to this board. I will continue to not respond to Korey, and will let others deal with his antics.

Read my post again. I never said CaliNotary was a homosexual. I live in Massachusetts where gay marriages are legal. I see gay's everyday of my life. I'm not a homophobe, I grew up in this century, need I say more?
I'm sick of CaliNotary's comments to newbie notaries. I'm sick of her comments towards the Christian religion, or any religion for that matter. I'm sick of new notaries being tossed aside and bashed because CaliNotary had to open his mouth. I'm sick of CaliNotary bashing everything I have to say to assist other notaries.
At the beginning this was a professional forum, then, for whatever reason, you've turned it into a freaking joke. If I were a signing company, I'd be turned off just by the childish non-sense that we are dragging on.
I tried to act civil and helpful, yet the children on this forum had to begin another "bashing". I'm going to start using a different screen name so this way here you will all grow up! My intention is to assist my state's notaries, and/or any other professional notary who has a question regardless if they are knew or not!!!!
The dumbest thing a newbie notary can do is not ask the question that is wanting to be asked!!! If you choose not to read my postings, THEN DON'T! I answer my own questions through all the attorney's I work with, therefore my goal here is to help, not ask.
GROW UP EVERYONE! FOR THE SAKE OF NOTARY ROTARY!
FYI: I'm not a homophobe! My best friend is gay, and my brother is bi-sexual. OKAY!

Maybe we should all go back to work instead of wasting time on issues that nobody can say anything that will change anyone's opinion There are plenty of sites where you can discuss these issues with those who are interested I am not the "Board Police" by any means, but this is a total waste of bytes Spring is starting to spring, let's all enjoy the nice days and devote out time to inproving our skills and marketing our business

I think that it was just another attempt by Korey to get some attention. Now that so many people on the board are ignoring him he has no other option but to use shock tactics to try to get some responses. All that's left is for him to compare one of us to Hitler.
I'm glad that nobody spoke up in that thread. To me it's a sign that people are just skipping over his posts and letting him rant to himself and his various sockpuppets. And there's no use trying to waste logic on someone as delusional as he is.
But I appreciate your support. If you ever wanna close your eyes and pretend I'm a busty widow with a bass boat just let me know!

Support? Where do you see people supporting just you. Korey got more compliments. For future sake if you don't like Korey then you shouldn't reply or view Korey's messages. He has helped me and I, as others, find him to be very knowledgeable for such a young pup. Think about it, he's yound and has already set up a business. What did you do at his age? Seriously though just don't reply to his messages if you find them to be childish or unprofessional. You two got off on the wrong foot, and either be adults and get over it, or just leave each other alone. I'm here to learn & seek guidance. As Korey said "let's all grow up and move on"

DNFTEC
DNFTEC. This stands for "Do Not Feed The Energy Creature". An energy creature's favorite feeding tactic is to try to hurt people's feelings or get them angry. The Energy Creature can then feed off the pain and anger it has generated. Its second favorite tactic is to hurt one person or the group's feelings while gathering the sympathy of others. That way, when the injured party lashes back, others will jump to the Energy Creature's defense. The Energy Creature feeds off the attention and the negative energy generated by the people fighting. Newsgroups will never be completely rid of such obnoxious, offensive and ill-mannered beings, but much can be done to keep the situation under control by remembering this simple formula: DNFTEC. If the Energy Creature gets a response, it gets stronger. If it is ignored, it will eventually weaken, wither and go away. Remember: do not to feed the energy creatures.
