My new line of business
For those who are new and/or operate with in a budget, I am now in the business of acquiring off lease and surplus hardwares (computer/printer) to refurbish then resale. I also custom build computers.
Being in the NSA/paper business and sold my 2 old computers (P4-2.4 & AMD XP-2600+) within a week last month at a profit got me thinking real hard. With some researching and from personal experience, I found HP printers and Dell computers are most widely used in business today. They are economiccally priced, reliable, and trusted brand name.
I got lucky getting quick tap into a few sources, my first shipment of HP-LJ printers (4100, 4050, and 5 series) coming this Friday. The 4K series will probably be gone as soon as I'm done with them because I'm giving a local ink/toner refill shop my business in return for leads, a win-win partnership.
A bit about me, I worked in the hi-tech industry for over 15 years. I know how a chip is made from scratch to finish. My very last job was a senior reliability engineering tech. I've been back in school since 2003; finished the nursing program pre-requisist with a 3.0 GPA which is nowhere near the competitive level in the state. Shift my goal and currently working toward a BA degree in business.
The analogy I put toward this line of business is the same as when I bought the 3 years old lease return (E320 Benz) in '98 direct from the factory (through a broker) instead of brand new. I used the Benz when I did real estate, and yes, I'm using it for my signing. It has 120K miles and the only major repair was the water pump I replaced in January.
Please email to ([e-mail address]) with questions or comments on if and how I can be of a service to your business technology needs.
Thanks for reading...Andy
