NC Bond

I am trying to sign up with several signing companies. I live in NC. They are located in CA. They keep asking for my bond. I keep telling them that a bond is not required in NC. I have E&O but no bond since it is not required. How do I convince them that I can still sign for them without being Bonded? Does anyone know of a company that does bonding in NC. The NNA says N/A when I check it out.
