Is everyone signing in through the internet or a different way I should know about?

Internet? Oh, gee. I forgot to use the Internet! I forgot about the 'Net, and just used my psychic powers.

Re: Bill Stockton -- a public reply please
I went onto your site, signed up, and received your e-mail requesting my W-9, although I'm holding off faxing it to you until you publicly address jojo's claim of not getting paid for a May 5, 2004 signing. Additionally, there is a post on GMN where someone sent their W-9 (can't remember if it was e-mailed, mailed or faxed), but they have since received an e-mail stating that they can't begin signings until their W-9 is sent in and they were then told to fax it to a specific number. I'm somewhat concerned that this individual's W-9 is floating around *someplace* in your office, which could end up in the wrong hands.
Please give us your company's side of the story on these two claims.

Re: Bill Stockton -- a public reply please
Sorry for the slow response, I have been traveling and just today logged in to check messages. Please allow me to respond to your concerns regarding W-9's and JOJO's payment. First we contacted JOJO regarding her claim of none payment for a closing from 2004. She was paid her fee, our checks are issued from a business account of NACN,LLC dba Signing Direct. She was looking for a check from Signing Direct. We were able to clear up her misunderstanding and she has since posted to this mesage board the explanation of her non-payment concern. Please see message # 23686. Second. regarding W-9's. the requested information on the form is never used(entered in the accounting system) until a notary completes a closing for us. A notary may register on the website and furnish all the required information but may not be used initially. All faxed notary information is stored in files and referenced when it is needed to pay a notary. This information does not float around the office. Only the owner and accountant have access to it. If we do not have a W-9 on file, we will ask a notary to fax one to us.

Re: Bill Stockton -- Thank you for your reply, however ...
many SS's allow W9's to be returned with the first signing. If the SS doesn't receive the W9 with the invoice, then the SA doesn't get paid. Why does your company wish to have the W9 before the first signing if the info isn't going to be entered into the system until the notary completes their first signing with you?
Thank you.

Pooh, you really might want to pay attention to the part of the thread that you posted this message in. Hopefully she'll give more details about not being paid from a signing close to a year ago. It definitely gives me pause.

WEll after reading about none payments and misplaced w-9. Maby i will just hold off. I did get an email from them stating they received 50 signups all ready.

If anyone has notice jojo corrected her statement of non payment on the next page of this forum so CaliNotary I suggest you reconsider your thoughts about this company. I normally wait or ask questions about a company before signing up but there were no real negative replies towards this company so what the heck! Good luck to you all!!!!

Mr. Stockton still hasn't responded to the issue of missing W-9's. Additionally, there is a post on GMN saying they are a $50.00 company.

Re: I'm still holding out for Mr. Stockton
You'd have to go to GMN and ask the specific poster since Mr. Stockton is choosing not to tell his side of the story.
