Not a SA YET, but have some questions.

Hi everyone. I had never heard of a signing agent before and I just happened to come across someone asking about it on another forum. That really got my interest. (I am already a notary and have been for 8 years). I did lots of research yesteday and last night. I went to the nationalnotary.org and I will probably take the course over there, unless someone else suggests somewhere different. I would assume that the courses are almost the same.

Anyway, after I take the test and become certified, does it cover in the course what the next step is? I'm sure it does and I have tried to go through some of the posts here this morning, but I'm sort of limited as what I can do on my computer at work.

I also work full-time, would this be a major problem?
I saw where someone mentioned something about insurance, what kind of insurance exactly is this and how much does it normally cost? Where would I get something like this?

Thank you all so much and I really do believe that this is something I will enjoy doing.

Have a wonderful day! Oh, I'm in Alabama BTW.

The Opelika/Auburn area, you?

Oh, how do I change my user name? I clicked on My Profile, but I can't change it from there.

Re: haha, was just about to tell you!

Cyndi, I'm not sure where your area is, but I would be more than happy to talk to you. If you want I can give you a call in awhile. I wish we had enough notaries in AL to get a luncheon or something for networking going. Can you link your post to your profile?

Re: haha, was just about to tell you!

Heard of the Auburn University Tigers? It's in Central Alabama on the AL-GA line. I see that you are in Huntsville. I think that is a couple of hours from me, not sure about that though. I've never been to Huntsville.

I would love to talk to you about this. I'm very interested in it. I'm not only in it for the money, of course that's always a plus, but I think it would be a very interesting job.

Would you be available around 5:30 or 6 tonight?

How do I link my post to my profile?

Cyndi...yes, tonight is good...so far, unless I get a last minute signing like the last couple of days. I wanted to keep today open to clean and such in preparation for mommie dearest visit from Chicago this weekend. I have a three year old and it shows on the walls lol

Re: linking to profile

I don't see it. Do you have to be a Premium member for it to show up? I'm just at Basic right now.
