Question about getting payment

Just a quick question and if anyone has a suggestion.

I have a few Title Co, and Signing Services that still owe me after 3-6 months.
Somedays, I write it off, and sometimes I really feel stiffed....

I wrote one Title company stating I was going to notify the bo, the Lender, and the lo of how they paid out for my services but the title company seemed to forget to disperse my notary signing funds as contracted.

I even stated I knew a good collection company. But, still no response or check. Has anyone went this far trying to get payment? Has anyone inquired or assigned their non-complaint title/ss payment issues to a collection agency?

Thank you for your return comments-feedback.

Getting Paid

Cindy -- I use to run a large collections firm... depending on how much you have outstanding and where they are located, it may be worth sending to an attorney on a 1/3 contingency.

An attorney will have more impact than most agencies. I have a list of good collection attornies email me with what states you need and I can get you some info..... [e-mail address]

Re: Getting Paid

Excellent suggestion ,Paul, except for the fee. Many attorney's will not accept collection work on a contingency fee.I do collections in Connecticut, and will not take these cases on a contingency for the simple reason that if the defendant has no funds to pay the judgment the attorney does not get paid. Many times the defendant is not paying his debts not because he does not want to, but rather because he has no funds to make payment. The attorney does the work and obtains the judgment, but there is nothing left to get from the defendant. The judgment is worthless and uncollectable.

Keep after them every single day!

They will wear down and pay you! I just had a similar situation with a title company. I faxed my invoice and called my contact person every single day. I called the LO as I had his # also, no one would return my calls.

I got the check yesterday. I think they were just tired of me :-)
