RE: OMG.... these "hick" towns

MY RESPONSE TO ORIGINAL MSG. #: 23712
======================================

Okay, I thank you all for your input. Seriously.

However, after reading everything I ask myself, "If the officer get's away with trying to intimidate and bully me..... What's the officer's next step towards myself or another notary?"

I was raised to stand up for myself regardless of the consequences. What matters is that I'm in the right. If, for whatever reason, I was proved wrong, then I would be man enough to face up to it by looking the other person in the eye and apologizing.

In my line of work, (paralegal investigator; advocate; process server, etc.) I cannot have the image as someone easily pushed around.

We all have our opinons and thoughts. Mine is more moral in a sense. So, I respectfully thank you for your input once again. However, I must do what I feel is right.

Korey

P.S.: I'll still update Monday afternoon for those who want to know the outcome.

There's a picture in the profile. I figured Korey was a female, but the tiny little picture looks male to me. Can't enlarge it to tell for sure.

BTW Korey, there are a ton of spelling errors in your notaryrotary profile. It would definitely behoove you to correct those as it really looks unprofessional.

Where did you get your degree? I got mine at Harvard.

Hold off the criticism and try actually reading this time. Everything is spelt right.

The tell-tale signs of changing our profiles is that the date updates. I just went into mine and removed reference to the NNA.

Grow up Korey. I'm not the only one who saw your profile.

If you want to be taken seriously in here stop lying about something so stupid, it just trashes your credibility and professionalism.

And how exactly do you suggest we look up your profile from the past?

Re: RE: Profile updates

And one error that remains uncorrected is the use of "'s" for a plural, which is normally formed by the addition of "s", "es", or "ies" -- unless it is a word of Latin root, such as "alumnus", in which the plural is formed by dropping the "us" and adding an "i", as in "alumni". It is a common mistake for people who are more interested in seeing their words than in both seeing their words and ensuring that they are correct.

I have some friends who are Harvard alumni; I've never seen them make any such errors in their e-mails to me. None of them are ignorami.

14 days ago you were 21. Today you are 22, and on April 22 you will be 23. Keep up this rate, by the end of the year, you'll be 31, i.e., a year a month.

**No I'm 22 born April 22, 1982**

Almost everytime I'm called to a home, buisness, and/or a meeting, people always question my abilities, and credentials because I'm only 21 years old. I do look younger, but I am legittly twenty-one.**

A nonfiction story. We are all older than 21, 22 or 23, whatever age Korey wants to settle on, but I don't think we are senile yet.

Korey brags (parenthetically, boast = swagger based in truth, brag = swagger based in pretense):

***Where did you get your degree? I got mine at Harvard.
Hold off the criticism and try actually reading this time. Everything is spelt right.***

CaliNotary had correctly noted the amateurish composition of your profile, to which you offered the above inane response. Note that the response itself is open to question by any literate American with less than a Harvard degree. "Spelt" is geographically incongruent in this country; it is a British affectation of the past participle "spelled." "Spelt," in the U.S., refers to an ancient grain, used to make bread favored by health nuts such as my Beautiful & Talented Wife, now my Beautiful & Talented Estranged Wife and soon to be my Beautiful & Talented Ex-Wife.

You really should listen to your Intellectual Betters, Korey; you'll be both a better person and a better signing agent for it. Those IBs include CaliNotary.

And, incidentally, you ARE making a mistake when you seek to rub the cop's nose in something. You'd be far better off by taking the tack that you're at the clerk's office to make sure yourself that you're doing it right, and you appreciate him bringing the question to your attention.

Spelt bread really is good stuff. I'd recommend you try it, now that you have learned you know how to spell it.

Good lord, you are really a piece of work. I politely try to help you look somewhat professional and all you can do is be a little bitch.

First of all, you obviously DID go and correct several of the spelling errors after I posted my comment. In case you didn't notice, your profile shows the last date it was updated. Which is today.

Second of all, you still have some spelling errors. As well as several punctuation and capitalization errors:

"In addition to Mobile Notary Public services, I offer independent Paralegal services. However, I cannot give legal advice because I'm not an Attorney licensed to practice law. When and if the need arises, I may work with and/or refer you to an attorney that is known to me. In addition, I am also a Process Server, able to serve all subpoena's, Probate process, notes, Notices of Trespass, and finally, Divorce and Family related process. Remember, I can issue and serve your Subpoena's and/or Court Summonses all in one shot! NOTICE: MASSACHUSETTS DOES NOT ALLOW NON-ATTORNEY NOTARIES PUBLIC TO DO LOAN CLOSINGS. HOWEVER I WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR EVERYTHING ELSE."

Did you really need to go to Harvard to get this type of education? Spelling and punctuation is something I learned in elementary school, not college. And I don't think there's a Harvard graduate alive who would write a profile as poorly as the one you had written before you corrected it. Or the current version for that matter.

I don't remember him saying he graduated from Harvard **University**. Harvard Elementary is a K-5 school located in Harvard, Massachusetts. Maybe that's what he means. Smiley

WARNING - The following statement is completely self-serving, "me"-centric, and indulging.

I've attended 3 elementary schools, 2 junior high schools (now called middle schools), 1 senior high school, 4 universities and one junior college. I even graduated with a couple of degrees too! Plus numerous other "technical" achievements over the years.

You already stood up for yourself when you told the cop he was wrong and you were right. That he didn't want to believe you doesn't mean you were being "pushed around".

If you feel the need to file a complaint with the police department there's nothing wrong with that. But that could easily be done over the phone or going to the appropriate department at the police station.

Your original post shows your true intentions in this situation, and it's quite obvious you're trying to get an ego boost from showing the cop what an "idiot" (your word) he is. Your primary goal isn't to file a complaint, it's to gloat in his face and be able to pat yourself on the back.

Please don't insult our intelligence and try to now spin it like you're just standing up for yourself in a moral sense because frankly, that's a huge load of bullshit. You're out for revenge because your ego was bruised, plain and simple.

BTW, why are you starting another thread on the same topic? You already posted the same response in the other thread, what you have to say is really not of vital importance that it merits a separate thread.

I agree with CaliNotary. HE hit the nail on the head when HE said..."what you have to say is really not of vital importance that it merits a separate thread."
Why don't we try keeping this board on track with notary issues. In the short time I have been on this board, I have grown tired of the fundamental questions that have been asked, such as "how many stamps do I put on a document?" or "can I back date a document?"

While I won't claim to have degrees from "Harvard" or "Stanford", etc. I think my education at the School of Hard Knocks has enlightened me to refrain from getting into a pi**ing contest against the wind. While some of the criticism that I have seen posted seems to be a bit cutting at times, I believe it is really intended to open ones eyes to do research before posting.
What we don't need is the back biting that I have seen on this meaningless thread.
