Re: Calnotaries rejoice!!
Hi Calnotaries,
Heh, I just got a brochure from the NNA on how I can "Earn Big Income Handling Loan Document signings". And lo and behold there are no seminars scheduled in California!! They are scheduled in eight other states. Sixteen presentations in total and alas Florida notaries five of them are in Florida (Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale, and Fort Myers).
With respect to the rest, one is in Arizona (in Phoenix); two are in Colorado (Colorado Springs and Denver); two are in Michigan (Detroit and Grand Rapids); two are in New Jersey (Cherry Hill and Newark); two are in New York (Buffalo and New York); one is in Ohio (Cleveland); and one is in Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh).

Re: Calnotaries rejoice!!
It's good to hear, but they are not the only company marketing in California. The class that I took was not through the NNA and they are constantly scheduling classes in my area. I also have heard on the radio a particular co. marketing their classes as well, so not only are we dealing with the NNA but others as well. I guess they have jumped on the band wagon to make the quick buck and then move on.

Re: Calnotaries rejoice!!
With all due respect Ted, the NNA has one of those fliers JUST for Ca. They are holding so many seminars here, they can't fit any other states schedule on the flier at the same time.

Jon,
I must admit that I am not that surprised at what you say. The post was to some extent tongue in cheek, as I did think to myself that conceivably they were marketing in California separately. But I honestly didn't know for a fact.

Re: Calnotaries rejoice - Not yet
I think their problem will be next year when, based on current projections and statistical analysis, they will have 100% of the adult population here commissioned.
I believe they are planning ahead and lobbying to have the age requirement lowered to 12 but this would be a learner’s commission and they would have to be accompanied by someone with a valid driver’s license.
