Service Link
I took a closing 2 day ago with argee amount of $75.00 for a closing out of my city but still my home county, it's maybe 25 mile, service link has listed my fee for home county and my city for that fee, O.K. I stated to the rep it's outside of my area for that fee and additional trip fee of $10.00 and she stated my fee was listed for the county so I said O.K. All doc'S overnight and no fax back, O.K. I agree. the appointment is set for today at 4:30, it will take me about 35 to 40 min for travel.
now I open my mail and guess what , Yes Juke doc''s and hud all together it is 6attachment I call for the fee $15.00 and new confirmation. well talk to the person that sent the order she said no problem, but let me check well, I was tranfer to the team leader Kim and she said she would need to get it approved , but the only thing I needed was the hud and the title affidavits I told her what the argee amount was and I do charge for any edoc's and fax backs she said she would send in for the approval.
I call back after a couple of hours she said no answer, I said O.K. I would need a confirmation. Should I go maybe? maybe not? it not like there my best company my 1099 with them last year was $995.00 WOW! and there a title company and I've been listed with them for over 5 years, I use to do a lot before I went up but not in the last past 2 years, well I made my mind up let me call them it's 3:15 so they can find someone else cheaper, this is streeing me out
I going to watch T.V. and relaxe I have 3 closing Wed, and 3 thru and 2 fri

If its not in writting with ServiceLink you will not be paid. I dropped them months ago when they lowered there edoc fee to $15.00 and lowered there rate to $65.00 they also wanted fax backs and split packages..
Not worth the time or effort.
I would say ServiceLink is for someone who is just starting and wants to develop there skills or is in a very busy area with very little travel time.

Ditto to what Mike said. I had one nightmare trying to get an agreed upon fee from them. They're a nickel and dime company and you darn well better have the confirmation in your hand if you want that fee.
And if you don't really need the business from them you may want to have them remove you from their database. They really aren't worth all the hassle they put us through.

I received a call from them last week requesting that I do a full edoc signing for $65 and would not negotiate. No can do. Where are these people coming from.

The last time that they asked if I'd heard about their new fees, I responded by asking if they'd heard about my new fees. Needless to say, they hadn't, and they found somebody else.

As Paul said, you're being taken advantage of. I get a solid $125 minimum on all edocs within close range of my home. They know my fee and have it listed in their computer system. I was very adament about it when signing up with them not just too long ago. I told them not to waste their time or mine calling me unless they are prepared to meet my fee. So far, no low-ball phone calls.

I will take a cheap, ($65) close, quickie w/ overnight docs (never edocs unless EOM) if I have nothing going on. I always ask who the lender is when making a decision to accept a signing from them AND let them know I will not fax back for that fee. They call me quite often at EOM. I have found that they always meet my fee for the signing & the edocs at EOM. Cha Ching! I have always been paid the agreed upon fee.

One nightmare closing was enough for me. They claimed to have never gotten my faxbacks and they called and I was one the road and could not refax the docs. They deducted my fee because of the faxes that they say they never got. I went into my profile online and deleted my phone numbers, so they can't call me.

Re: Margaret/FL
Hey I call them to cancel after not getting my call back on from the team leader for the fee approval and the rep tranfer me again to the big boy and i stated to him that I understood if they needed someone cheaper but I could not do this closing so he agree to pay the addition $15.00 for the juke doc's = $90.00 bucks and it was 17 miles away but it still was out of the city but in the county and that is what I state for my base fee of $75.00 and I get that with my other company, I did receive the new confirmation. I got to the closing and guess what they didn't even seperate the doc's . lol but no more for them to stressful.

Re: service Link
I also do not like the way they treat you. They sent me a DVD to watch on how to properly behave at a signing. What an insult!! And NO, I do not turn off my cell phone during my signings like they tell you to.

Re: service Link
IT'S A SHAME THAT A COMPANY THAT WAS ONCE A JOY TO WORK WITH HAS COME TO THIS. WHEN I FIRST STARTED DOING SIGNINGS THEY GAVE ME A LOT OF WORK. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT AND FLEXIBLE TO CHANGING SITUATIONS. IT SEEMS LIKE WHEN THEY SHIFTED THEIR EMPHASIS TO B LOANS WITH COUNTRYSIDE AND AFFILIATES THINGS CHANGED. IT BECAME LAST MINUTE E-DOCS WITH EVER SHIFTING TIMES THAT LEFT ME AND THE BORROWER HANGING. THEY NEVER ASKED ME TO CHANGE MY FEES, THEY JUST DON'T CALL ANYMORE. TOO BAD.

Re: service Link
I never got the DVD, but I did start getting calls before EVERY signing giving me basic notary instructions, as if it were my first signing. That I had completed over 50 successful signings for them in the past didn't mean squat to them. It took less than 5 of those calls before I told them to get me out of their database.

I am a big fan of Margaret's, too, Becca. Talk about a woman who is focused on her business.!
When Margaret writes, you gotta take time to read it...good info.
I have gathered enough info from her posts to start getting a little more business here and there. Thanks, Margaret!

What a shame. I'm having a great time with this company. I think they are awesome. I have 6 signings with them for the month of March so far. I take the 65.00 for overnight docs and have not had any problems with them. I've been working with them since December of 04. I have not had a borrower further than 20miles round trip. They did call this morning however for another county on a saturday and I gave them a quote of 260.00. We'll see if they take that offer, if not, then I'm happy doing my own countys for them.

Lucky you, Marty...I don't blame you for liking them if you get the assignments. They do pay on time.
After thinking that I would never let them cancel on me again, I mean it this time.
Service Link has finally done it with me. on Monday, they called and asked me for a next day appointment. I took it. They were sending the confirmation right away. The phone rang...I turned down an assignment for the same time. Service Link never sent me the conf. and the appointment did not exist in my profile when I called about it the next morning (day of imaginery assignment). They were able to see that I missed yet another $75-100.
Done done done with SL. But, that doesn't mean everyone should...it could just be my area or the LOs who have been on the MIC loans that I was being assigned.
