Thank you Notary Rotary

I am truely impressed by the amount of business I have received as a result of this website. I always ask businesses that call for my services how they found me and 9 times out of 10 the answer is Notary Rotary. Thank you Notary Rotary for a respected and popular website.

You're welcome! With so many choices out there, I'm glad to see you're having success with our site. As 2005 rolls on, we hope the calls will, too.

As a side note, we'll be adding some things to our advertising strategy, which I figure can only help. Smiley

Best,
Harry

I also say thanks. 9 out of 10 of my signings come because of your website. I have been following this board for about a year now, don't do a lot of postings, but recently, it's making me feel like it's not worth reading anymore.

Harry informs us:

***As a side note, we'll be adding some things to our advertising strategy***

I could make myself available as the centerpiece of your new advertising thrust, Harry, with a little persuasion and a lot of money.

I'm picturing the famous Demi Moore Vanity Fair pregnancy cover. I think Hugh could pull it off.

Since the subject was posted... I'd like to offer my thanks as well! I get many calls where I was found on this website. On the flip-side, when I get a call and cannot cover the area the caller is requesting... I refer them here.

I agree. More times then not the companies mention they found me here.

At least four too five times a week I get a call for basic notary services because of this site. Even though I've expirenced "heavy fire" in this forum, the companies still call continously.

Thank you Harry and Notary Rotary. The National Federation of Paralegal Associations will be recieving my request to publish a story about the pro's of this site. As well as the local association I belong too. Way to go guys! Excellent site.

Re: National Federation of Paralegals

Do you have to have graduated from an ABA approved program to belong to this? Did you receive your Paralegal status from such a program? An inquiring mind wants to know. TYIA

Re: National Federation of Paralegals

Hello,

No, membership in the NFPA is voluntary.

Usually paralegal's and other legal professionals belong to the NFPA.

I did obtain my degree, however my program was not ABA approved. Last I check I think only roughly 200 schools in the US are ABA approved. Don't hold me to it though.

KH, Thank you for your response. Do you or anyone else know what the difference might be between the ABA approved vs. non ABA Paralegal training? Just curious. TYIA

CA inquires:

***Do you or anyone else know what the difference might be between the ABA approved vs. non ABA Paralegal training?***

Non-ABA schools generally are attended by those who cannot qualify for the better schools, which must meet rigid academic requirements. They tend to produce a lower quality product, such as paralegals who cannot spell and do not know the difference between a plural and a possessive.

I have to agree with Hugh. Perhaps a visit to this "NFPA" site will help explain our poser.

Re: National Federation of Paralegals-Question

For paralegal's, I wanna say it's just to allow the attorneys for whom you may work for know that you did get quality education and training from a source every attorney can relate too.

Just because you didn't do an ABA approved school usually doesn't matter. I haven't seen any mandatory requirments for Paralegal's to be a graduate from an ABA apporved school. (MA anyway).

Please don't be discouraged by certain responses here.

You have to understand that with some old-timer Attorney's, or those who think they still are attorneys being retired, you're going to encounter some biases towards the paralegal profession.

To date, as you should know since you're a graduate, paralegal's are working everywhere. The career outlook for paralegals is to rise at least 32% by 2010. If you read the US department of Labor's outlook on us paralegals, then you'll see our jobs rank in the top 10 for fastest growing occupation.

Paralegal's work for court houses, attorneys, District Attorney's, police stations, government agencies like the Department of Social Services, Welfare, EPA, etc. Don't be discouraged by the earlier comments.

You have to remember that until recently only attorney's could perform the jobs we paralegal's do. So, certain aged generations of attorney's hate the idea of Paralegal's because we don't need the years of education that they had to undergo. Yet, our services are just as good, or even better then that of the attorney. Read alot of the recorded cases where the judge yelled at the attorney and advised him/her to get a paralegal.

Please note, my writing style here could be improper or I may be displaying a lot of typos. Take note, however, I'm not working or drafting any legal documents. There's a time to be proficient, and a time to be laid back.

I to say thanks for a wonderful web site. I have had received busines, but also training from this site. Maybe in the future you can expand this site to include more tools for the connection of notaries and companies needing notaries. For instance, expand your notary supplies to include insurance, bonding, etc. Expand the Library to include software and forms that can be downloaded. And expand the "Find a Notary" and "Signing Services" to possibly include comments on work done or types of payor, etc. This might help protect both the companies and the notaries. You could alternatively use some type of rating system. This would eliminate actual comments which could be more subjective.

Needless to say, I would be more willing to pay a higher price to be part of this site, than even, for instance the NNA!

Anyway, thanks again. I love this web site!
