Where do YOU drop off your packages?

Just something to think about - - - - -

Several of the mailbox shops in my town are owned by notaries who do loan signings.

I am careful to never drop outgoing packages at their shops.

If I owned such a shop, I would be checking the outgoing addresses to get contact info for title companies I could solicit for business.

We are in a VERY competitive business. Protect yourself!

Office Depot is a UPS pick up site. I took one there today. Had some supplies to purchase & it saved me a little time. Staples takes FedEx.

Sometimes I call for home pick up. Mostly I take pkgs to the depots, UPS & FedEx depots are w/i 3 miles of my home.

If you call fed ex for a pick up, and I have the ss fed ex acct number, do they accept the extra four dollars they charge? Or do they not accept that?

Some things people need to understand about FedEx/UPS/DHL/CalDocs and the likes.

Most Title Cos have volume accts with the major overnight couriers. The "regular" price is NOT the price that is paid by the account holder. Charges for volume accts average about $6-$9 per pkg with minimal "extra" charges for Sat. & pick up service. Cos usually get deeper discounts if airbils are pre-printed or printed via the internet.

To answer your question, no, I have never been called for having a pkg. picked up at my home. The $50+ charge on the HUD for courier services usually covers the cost and them some.
