Witness signing vs. Certified Signing

Does anyone know what "certified signing" means? I was filling out a notary registration form online and it states that the fee for "witness signing is $X and Certified signing was $XX"

I believe a certified signing refers to a signing agent that has successfully passed a certification test given by some organization such as the National Notary Association. Supposedly when you are a certified signing agent you are entitled to a slightly higher fee.
There is usually a charge to take the test. In my experience so far I have never been asked by any signing company or title company whether or not I was certified.

Not sure of difference.
But, I know a true "witness signing" would be one where all you do is hand them papers, check ID and notarize signatures, and answer no questions.

I would think that the SS would be able to answer your question of what a "certified signing" was.

I don't agree with the thought that it has to do with NNA certification. The way you posed the question, certified is refering to the signing not to who is doing the signing.
