$50 flat rate

What's up with NFRES (navy federal ). Has anybody did any work for them for $50?

Hi Tara,

Yes, I did one last week sort of indirectly (through a ss). And yes it was for $50 bucks. Very small package (a HELOC) and borrower was about four miles away. So I am not complaining.

Just wanted to make sure they wasn't trying to sell me short. I guess I'll do it, especially if I'm not doing anything. "Anything beats a blank."

Tara,

From my experience (and from what I remember reading), Navy Federal packages are very small. As I recollect there was only one notarization; actually there were two notarizations as there were two signatories. What I meant to say is that only one document got notarized.

Is it a HELOC and how far away are the borrowers? The latter is an important consideration.

What I would do is do a search. I know you will find more info.

Re: NFCU signings

Navy closings:
Less than 20 pages.
1 notarization
Do not get copy of ID - there is a form included
Docs usually sent to borrower
99% of borrowers have read the docs and understand them.
10 minutes in house average.

I love them.

Re: NFCU signings

Art,

That was my experience too, except it took me somewhat longer. The docs were sent to the borrower. And yes, they did seem to be familiar with them. The only problem I had was that the borrowers set and the original set were exactly the same. There was one original of the RTC for each signer, and thus only one copy for each in the borrowers' package.

Re: NFCU signings..Hey Art...

Do you get more than $50 for them up there?

I haven't done a NFCU closing for over a year. Is ATM the only signing service that assigns them or does Navy Federal use another company now?

I don't know but today they sent me a pkg to enroll with their company. Think I am going to based on this thread.

Do them all of the time, $50 for 10-20 minutes of work, not bad. Very short & very easy!

I live right by the Navy base and I do them all the time for $50.00. They have always been right down my street and I have had 2 signing companies call me. SigningZ and Alden Enterprises. Alden has not paid me yet for 2 signings in Jan. SigningZ paid in two weeks.

Hi Margaret-

Alden Enterprises is on my Avoid list--AKA "Assured Signings"- Mssg. #6592, 6575,6576,6586,6587.

Hope they have changed; don't know. Please let us know how you fair on them, okay?

Appreciate all your posts- your one busy lady.

Send me an e-mail , I'm about 15 miles from you- maybe we can network some- I have had to turn down quite a few lately- AOL and Broadband problems-- will be switching to Comcast by weeks end. Best wishes.

These $50 ones are equity loans. They have about 15 pages in them, only one notarization (Mortgage/DOT). Docs sent to borrowers.
Just make sure the return package is addressed to NFRES and not ILS. They have had a few incorrectly addressed to ILS.

They still pay your normal fee for their other loans (which only run about 30 pages), but are paying $50 for these equity loans.

I will certainly do these equity loans for $50 in my immediate area.
