While at a signing, the borrowers had their atty there to review the docs. Anyway, there was a documented generated by the atty for the borrowers to sign (nothing to do with the loan docs I had to notarize. However, the atty asked my to notarized the letter. I did. I felt a certain way.....am I wrong?

Nothing wrong with what you did. As long as the notarization section was worded correctly.

Several times I've had borrowers ask for seperate docs to be noterize. Mostly were statements re: sale of cars. In MD if the sales price is below book, there has to be a noterized statement of the sale. Usually needed when the vehicle has some problems i.e. needs a new transmission, and the price reflects that.

Your notarizing the doc may lead to other work with the attorney - can't hurt.
