edocs

I was called by a company last night. I never worked for this company before. Anyway, they wanted me to offer me seventy-five dollars for edocs. I never did edocs before; however, I thought it extremely low so I refused it. I am way off, I think not.

You did good Jay. that means they were paying you $50.00 for the signing and $25.00 for the edocs. Did you tell them what your fee was?????

No, I did not tell them that was my fee. That is what they told me their fee was.

Do some research on the company. Put them on your list as good / bad or questionable. Don't take all you read on this site, or any site as gospel (but, 40 bad reports vs 1 good one should give you a good feel) .

Please post state with name. That will get better more accurate info.

Jay,

There seem to me to be two operative considerations here: how big a package was it and how far away it was. If it were a small HELOC package close by seventy-five dollars wouldn't seem too bad.

They said it was a refi. It wasn't to far (15 miles). So, what I am getting is I should ask how big is the package and how far it is and $75.00 is okay.

I'm confused..... Was it $75.00 just for the e-docs? Or was that in addition to your fee? If it was just for the e-docs (probably not) that would be good, if it was all inclusive, it is questionable. Size of pkg, distance, etc.

I reside in florida. The 75 was all inclusive.

Sorry my fingers got away from me, lol

without UNDERCUTTING anyone else, you can then set your fees accordingly. As somone already mentioned if you post your location you might get a little help from someone in your area.

I agree with Carlos. Don't undercut, but don't overprice either. It's all about finding the right balance.

I did a $50 signing the other day. It was about 3 miles from my house and took about 20 minutes. Totally worth it to me. Would I have driven 30 miles for the same signing? Heck no.

I just recieved my commision and I just want to make sure that I am understanding this. $75 for edocs would mean 50 for the signing and 25 for them emailing the docs to me and me making a copy for both the borrower and the one for signing.

I was looking at a package from a signing company and they put that they pay 50 for overnight and 75 for edocs but with no mention of travel fee. Sounds like a rip if the signing is more than 10 or so miles away. They wanted to know what area I cover. So do I let them know what I am willing to travel for thier fee or put my area down and let them know the travel fee when they call?
