Welcome,
Please turn off all caps. It is considered shouting. Someone might have a set available - if they are willing to share, they will post. You might try a search for a notary 50 miles from you (post your location in Va here on the board). Contact him/her and see if they can help you. Ofter to meet half way and buy lunch/dinner. I say 50 miles since you probaqbly would not be direct competition. It's hard to be nice to someone who is going to "try and steal my business". Try and arrange a ride-a-long to a closing. Read everything on the board - and learn to use the search function.

Agree....
However some notaries may not want to teach you, but there will be someone out there who will be more then happy.
Is your jurisdiction state-wide, or county? Because if it's county then I don't see why another notary in a joining county would have any problems helping you.

Re: Agree....
Please correct me if I'm wrong ... I believe notaries in all states, except LA, have statewide jurisdiction.

Re: Agree....
You are correct; also as Art has previously mentioned study your manual and read the board, from the begining. I am also new and have found it to answer most of your questions.

Paul,
Can't really speak as to other states, but I know that what you say is true with respect to Michigan.

To Paw...
I honestly couldn't tell ya. I thought most states had limited jurisdiction (by county). I guess I am wrong. Truthfully I've never researched any other state notary laws except for my own.

BarbaraL CA, even though I have the forms from my SA Certification class, these are so inclusive and helpful. Thank you for your generosity of spirit. I'm certain it will come back to you ten-fold.

Whoever told you there are only 14(???) different loan docs is nuts. I would be very careful in regards to what they tell you, as they have very limited knowledge or are trying to deliberately give you misinformation. Most packages have many more docs than 14. There are some packages that only have a total of 26-30 pages, but I have never counted the actual number of docs.

Willie: By using this website I found a notary in my own town, introduced myself and aksed (for learning purposes) if I could accompany him on his next loan signing. He agreed and I actually went on three signings with him. Each was a different company with a different set of instructions, but mostly all the same forms. Don't be shy, in this business you must network yourself. The only thing a person can say is "no". I hope this works for you.
