printing docs
I just received a package that is mixed legal and letter. Are there laser printers out there that will determine what size paper needs to print - dual trays? I usally just print everything out on legal.

My 1200 died and i got the 1320 , I don't have two paper trays. How do you do this?
It does print on two sides though, I just got a set of docs that did this and I was a bit amazed at the process,

It's probably not a good idea to print loan docs double-sided without asking the loan or title company first.

Is it really necessary for me to print legal/letter or just print all in legal? This would be a pain because I'd have to go through the entire file and print everything separately. My printer only has one tray.

Print EVERYTHING on LEGAL
If you can't print mixed size, don't worry 'bout it. Just print it all on legal size. I don't know of anyone that has had a problem with that. (Though I see some SSes are asking it more often.)

Hi Mary. Does yours have a manual feed tray (for envelopes, etc.)? If so, try setting the manual feed tray (in Printer Properties) as legal size to feed "auto" and leave letter size in your main tray - then it should print both sizes automatically. (Mine is an ancient HP 4M - I would think the newer printers can do this, too...?!)

Incidentally, Acrobat Distiller will allow you to seperate legal pages from letter pages and turn it into 2 files. At $300 or so for a license... I can't really see anyone doing this, but....
