retaining E-docs on file

I just did a cleanup on my computer and found I had over 300 file folders with E-docs. I killed most of them but kept those from the last month. Just in case of ......???. A couple of time I've gotten calls saying I didn't get xxx signed. I went throught the e-docs and lo and behold, the missing doc wasn't there!.

I'm establishing a personal policy of cleaning out e-docs weekly nd not retaining anything over 7 days old..
I don't want to take the chance of having all that personal info get into the wrong hands.
