ALG Solutions, Inc Notary Websites!

I am a notary in the state of Florida who has been looking for more exposure on the internet to be able to market myself full-time. I just recently came across a website for a signing agency I have done work for in the past that also specializes in different office services. They have recently begun offering Pre-designed and customized notary websites designed by their company at a very low cost (believe me, I have talked with web designers and it can be expensive). I signed up and expect to have my website up and running within about a week. The website adress for anyone who is interested is:

http://www.algsolutions.com/notarywebsites.html

Check it out and let me know what you think.

You are connected with ALG Solutions! This is blatant advertising.

*** Connected!! *** He is the registered agent and president. Lucia (I assume is his wife) is the VP. But he's right, he is a notary in Florida. Received his new commission in December '04.

More power to him and his company, but advertising your own wares as if you are a customer is not getting off on the right foot. It is deceitful, imo.

Alrighty, then...young Lenny:

People who lie on this board tend to DEMAND apologies...somehow they believe that by fabricating an email, or a website to make it look like they did not lie it

I can whip up a website in a few days and pretend it is not mine. I can register the name of it to anyone I chose to. I can create the look of a faked email by sending it to myself at different addresses...but, that doesn't make it a real email.

Without even checking who owned the website, I knew it was being promoted by the owner...The language you used to promote your website is the most telling thing. No 25 year old male notary gets that involved in promoting a cool website to people they do not know.

Now, if you'd been hanging around here for awhile...I might have been fooled because it would make sense that you'd care to share something with people you'd gotten help from.

Re: ALG Solutions, Inc For everybody

1. ALG Solutions ofers web hosting too, I got that way before I got my website (see for yourseves)
2. I didn't realize that a new notary has to be berated and took as if he was someone else just because he's new to a stupid message board!
3. I also didn't realize that if I had a good experience with something then I shouldn't share it because I am too new to the message board
4. I find it ridiculous how you all jumped at me like watch dogs for sharing an OPINION!
5. I DON'T REMEMBER FORCING ANYONE TO GET A WEBSITE OR LOOK AT THAT WEBSITE
6. I ALSO DIDN'T REALIZE THAT YOU ALL ARE VERY WELL SITUATED NOTARIES WITH MILLIONS IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS AND THEREFORE YOU CAN AFFORD EXPENSIVE WEBSITES AND ONE FOR 150 WAS AN OFFENSE!!!!!
7. I also did not know that this board is for exclusive members and the new members have to be treated like crap for sharing an opinion
8. ALG Solutions, Inc DOES NOT NEED ADVERTISING, as far as I know they have enough clients to keep them busy for a while
9. Associating me with them is pure bull***t, don't you people realize how many ways of advertising are available these days!?!?!?!? why would anyone try to sell anything on a notary board!??!!?!?
10. I am extremely disappointed with this board and I will notify the owner of my experience, not to gain anything out of it, but just because I think they should know how some people are treated for posting a new message!!!!!!! and being new to this board!!!!!

I hope you all have a happy life!

Re: ALG Solutions, Inc For everybody

Here's the reason we are suspicious, to say the least:

You are new to the board.
First posting is a statement about a website that you found that has benefited you.
Your name (or handle) is Lenny with an email address @ ALG Solutions.
ALG Solutions just happens to be the website you are raving about.
ALG Solutions just happens to have as it's president a person named Lenny Giamanco.
Website is registered to Lucia Giamanco who is ALG's VP.
Address of ALG Solutions is Apopka, FL, which is serviced by Central Florida RoadRunner.
Your posting IP address is Central Florida RoadRunner.
Same IP address used for marketing email received in February and April.

If in fact all the above is merely a coincidence, then I will certainly apologize. But until you can offer substantiated proof to the contrary, it appears as though the evidence is against you.

One simple way would be to just provide your true identity. Simply fax your commission to me and I will validate the information and humbly apologize if it does not support our suppositions.

The quality of this board is preserved by the fact that Harry / NotRot requests that this board be left commercial ad free.

Why is it that certain people (i.e. Brenda and Sylvia) can "mention" their signing service endeavors, but others can't mention a website about websites? Do as I say, not as I do? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Re: ALG Solutions, Inc For everybody

First, they don't blatantly advertise their signing services. (I didn't know Brenda even had a signing service!) Second, they don't falsely state they "found" a great website, that just happens to be their's. Many SS owners are often asked questions because of their ownership positions, and they respond as SS owners. So, if you consider that "'mention'ing their signing service endeavors", so be it, because that's the way things are. It certainly isn't a commercial advertisement.

**(I didn't know Brenda even had a signing service!)**

That's correct, Paul, I don't have a signing service.

And to Anon: Those with signing services who ask for notaries to sign up with them hire notaries, they PAY the notary and are not pretending to be a third party who has used a product or service and endorses it under false pretense.

And, those who come on here and tell they have a product for notaries to purchase are not endorsing it under false pretense.

Anon (Lenny?), buy a Premium Membership here and start contributing to this board. Put whatever services you care to promote in your profile, link to it and then you have constant exposure.

Re: ALG Solutions, Inc For everybody

I don't "advertise" my signing service. I answer some questions as a signing service as the questions pertain to signing services. I don't pretend to be just a notary and say"Hey, I just found a service to sign up with" and direct them to sign up with my signing service.
I have suggested to a couple of Florida notaries that have posted that they are having problems getting work, to send me an e-mail and let me know what areas they cover.

There is a big difference in pretending to be a client of a website to promote that website, and being up front and honest.

And as most signing agents on here are looking for work and not to put money out on a website, I see nothing wrong with what Tony Negrete is doing by inviting signing agents to sign up with him (as that is obviously what you are getting at)

Re: ALG Solutions, Inc For everybody

Besides that, Tony and Sylvia both are regular contributors to this board. They are both established and do not commercially advertise their service. However, whenever a service expands, it is nice to know that they read this board, contribute to this board, and make us aware of their expanded services. That's not "advertising". That's informing the readership of their expanded services. And, they are up front as to who they are and what they do. No sinister deceit by either of them.

Promoting yourself vs. referring others...

Well, now...you probably did not know this, but I also make a few extra bucks from hosting websites! And, when locals prevail upon me, I'll also design them a website for a few hundred dollars...But, I will not be sneaky and put the link in here as if I just found out about it...in fact, you have never heard me mention my webhosting service, now have you?

And, I have had it for three years...and, you still don't have the link to it, because being a notary (IMHO) has something to do with integrity. Keeping these two businesses separate is very important to me. I know that my notary business is where my heart is.

But lets talk about personal referrals and endorsements: I know/have worked for/or endorse the owners of the following websites, and I'd personally endorse them to those seeking signing agencies to sign up with:

http://www.floridamobilenotary.com/

http://www.negretesnotaries.com/

http://www.amrnotary.com/

http://www.asappronotaryservices.com/

And, I endorse getting involved with these notary associations or listings:

http://www.signingregistry.info

http://www.notaryrotary.com

And, I like the training manual at:

http://www.signingregistry.com

And, I like the $9.95 book you can buy for marketing purposes at:

http://www.professionalnotary.com

And, again, I think this site provides good design and hosting services at a reasonable price:

http://design.adaptiveview.com

I receive nothing in the way of compensation for any of the sites mentioned above (except I might get work from Negrete and/or Asap) but these are based on my personal thoughts.

None of the above endorses me...I am referring others...can you see the difference yet?

Notary web design at a reasonable price...

When people ask me who they should get to design their notary website, I suggest:

http://design.adaptiveview.com/

And, Lenny...the reason I suggest this link is because:

This is a good deal for other notaries and the design is excellent at $200 to get set up.
The owner is a notary. The owner has never promoted his link here to sell to other notaries and I want to be clear, I have never used the above for web design.

There's a lesson to be learned from this, Lenny.

And, since my own step-son does commercial websites but is not a notary, doesn't have a good grasp on notary needs and charges way more for his work because it's usually database driven to meet commercial needs, I think my endorsement of the above link is a fair one.
