Busy Time of month?

Is business normally steady all month long or are there certain busy times of the month for loan closings?

Re: Busy Time of month? EOM (end of Month)

This new interest rate increase that is being talked about concerns me. In your experience have the increases had a big impact on your signing business? I would like to build up a full time signing business and feel like this rate increase is going to hurt.

Re: Busy Time of month? EOM (end of Month)

I don't know what state you are in but I would NOT recommend completely leaving an existing job or starting this full-time immediately. (not unless you have backup income) This business may sound easy from an outsider looking in, but it is difficult to really get established. Not saying that it can not be done, because it can be done. It's just that it takes time and energy to register and sign with agencies and also to actually get work. Because interest rates are going up and also real estate and other industries that effect real estate are ever changing it is difficult to make a full time living at being an nsa. Also the fact that many areas have a saturation of signing agents with fewer closings. I would suggest starting part time to see if you like this business and can make a go part time. See how that goes and if possible maybe expand full time.

Looks Like the End (and not EOM)

This business will dry up soon and in a big way.

Re: Looks Like the End (and not EOM)

I hate to say it, but I somewhat agree with you. Last year at this time, I had a monthly average of 38 deals done. This year, to date, the average has dropped to 24 per month. In addition, my primary TC has been chasing business that is an average of 125 miles one way and I have given up that much travel. Luckily, I have signed up some new TC's to make up some of the loss, but the 'thrill' is gone. I remember when I was doing 40 to 50 deals each and every month. There will always be business to transact....but not like it was the last 2 years, to be sure....

Income has remained the same but I'm working twice as hard too maintain it.
