Changing dates?
I had a closing scheduled on the 25th, a first and second, edocs. After two hours with the borrower, he deicides not to sign. So, now it has been rescheduled for tomorrow. I am to use the same docs! Do we change all the dates and initial all the changes? Or do we leave the dates that are preprinted and just use durrent date next to signatures as required? The HUD's are the only docs that have been updated. Thanks for your input.

When that happens they usualy send new docs. Check with the SS or Title company.

I just had a similar situation, I had a closing for Wednesday at 9:00 PM but the docs came over at 9:30 and I asked the SS if the borrowers still wanted to sign at such a late hour. He assured me they did. Well I called them once the docs were printed and it was now 10:00 and they were very unhappy and said they did not want to sign so late at night. Per the SS it was okay to use same docs but to change RTC dates. It really depends if the docs are date senstive or not and that is up to the lender and title co.

Chec with SS/TC but normal practice is have all hand written dates as the current date(5/27) The only doc that need the dates changed is the Right To Cancel last date to cancel Date If signed today, RTC date is June 1, 2005. Be sure to have bwr initial the changed date and also conform their copies to show the 6/1 date Not necessary, in my opinion the change the "transaction date" as that is the date the the note and mtg are dated as typed.

Thanks for the feedback. They do not want to send new doc's and I don't want to change the date on all those doc's!
