Curious

Is anyone getting calls or signings from any mortgage companies?
I'm having a hard time getting into those darn companies. Is it because they are so accustomed to using lawyers? It should make sense to them that I can do the job for half what the lawyer charges, thereby saving their borrowers money. I think that would be a good selling point when explaining the GFE.

Funny you should ask that. I just got done with a closing that they were so happy I came to them, that they loved this concept, and also told me how much it had cost them previously to go thru a lawyer. Who knows maybe the lawyers have the lenders under a contract of a sort.
I also know that here, the Realtor takes care of picking the Closing Comp. on a new purchase. As for our local Mortgage Comps and Lenders, I think they do the same thing which is pick a local Title Company.

I did one last month from a Mortgage Co. They pay me very well and I was told I will get more calls from
them. I hope its true. I had to pick the docs from them. But they havent heard of SS I guess.

I have worked through Title Companies, but never through a motgage company.
