Dealing with Stress
Today I was told, "A Signing Agent?" That a GRAVY job ! I was like, you just have NO clue. When you have 5 signings scheduled, and all are edocs, and they dont get to you until 1 or 2 hours before the signing, how do you guys deal with the stress of being on time, back to back ? Is there a secret to handling this I dont know of ??

Try shredding the docs from canceled signings by hand.

"Try shredding the docs from canceled signings by hand." This may be the single best piece of advice I have ever seen on a board!

But, please remember, "don't run with scissors!" <g>

Big_AL,
Thanks, I just read your reply and now I'm AND I still have the 240 pages that prompted my suggestion stacked by the shredder.

Re: Dealing with Stress step back !
In the situation with 5 e-doc closings, or any situation, only you are putting stress on yourself.
1. If you can't change the situation - accept what comes (give the responsible party a push) 2. Adapt to the situation. If the docs are late, you change the times as necessary. 3. Seperate work from the rest of your life. Have a routine/action that defines that point. i.e. after your last signing of the day, have a cup of tea. After that cup of tee, don't think about you SA work. 4. Learn from each experience. May reduce problems in future, or help you decide on action you need to take without worrying/figuring/quessing/etc. 5. Work to live - not live to work. 6. On a calm easy day, sit back and look at your SA business. See the positives, see the negative, balance them out. You'll find the positives far outweight the negatives. If not, find another job.
